My Uncle has the best ones, and I'll see him manana, thanks for reminding me/us. He's got one for kolache, and he's got one for klobasniki (pigs in a blanket).

Yep. My grandparents were regulars at every dancehall you could name. My grandmother taught me how to waltz to this when I was about 7 years old:

Is there a kolache dough recipe that you have been using and aren't happy with or are you starting from square one on this project?

Yes, he is easily classified as old country as well.

Rosenberg, East Bernard, Hallettsville etc were the main places that my parents were regulars at.

I banged like 3 or 4 of these back in the day, they are so suppressed and freaky its insane. This thread brings back good memories.
I found the European ones were ready to go initially, then tailed off while the Asian ones took time to get freaky, but then they did, they did it all consistently lol.

Yeah 90% of wives wouldn’t agree to her being the au pair (my wife would be in that other 10%). Assuming she some how became the au pair, within 6 minutes she would be the new wife for 75% of guys.

Just avoid temptation... it makes good people do bad things... let Eva Braun be an au pair for a gay couple.

I know that the Bohemian Grove is in California, but didn't think there were many people there with actual Bohemian ancestry. Why is B-Bob reading this conversation and dishing out so many "Likes"?.

I occasionally wonder, as I'm perusing the bbs, just what exactly *is* B-Bob? Why is @B-Bob?

    It's a conundrum.

I like central TX genealogy. I have also spent a lot of time translating German to English (badly). Also I have a bunch of close friends who are Czech.

but I get it. No more likes.

    No no no.

I didn't say that you had to turn off the "Likes".

It is just that I read the Covid-19 thread and have noticed that you have connections. Then I see you doing "Likes" in this thread about Central Texas culture. It shows that there are more dimensions to you than I had previously thought.

Sorry it took so long, Me and My Uncle both forgot for a few days. Never made these personally but his definitely eat good. He added the pineapple filling recipe at the end (for some reason he really likes it) just to give you a guide to make whatever filling you want...

    Dough:

    1 packet yeast
    1 teaspoon sugar
    ¼ cup warm water

Mix the above in a glass measuring cup and set aside.

    ½ Stick Margarine
    1 cup Milk

Melt the margarine and blend with milk in a sauce pan.

    1 egg

Beat the egg in a cup and slowly blend into the milk/margarine mixture.

Add the yeast mixture and pour all these wet ingredients into the mixer bowl.

    ¼ cup sugar
    1 teaspoon salt
4 to 5 cups of sifted bread flour

Add these dry ingredients as the mixer (dough hook) runs slowly, until they form a stiff dough.

Let the dough set for 15 minutes then mix again until smooth.

Let rise for 50 minutes at 80-85 degrees. The dough should double in size.

Form into golf ball size portions and arrange an oiled baking sheet.

    Brush with butter.

Let the dough rest and rise again until light (15 minutes or so)

Create indentation in each dough ball and add filling.

    Popsika Topping…

    ¼ cup sugar
    2 tablespoons of flour

Combine sugar and flour together until they resemble a coarse meal. Sprinkle over the filling.

Let the kolache rise again for 20 minutes or until light to the touch.

Bake at 450 for 12 minutes.
Remove to wire cooling rack. Makes 8 to 10 kolache.

    Pineapple (or any fruit) filling...

1 small can of crushed pineapple

    2 tablespoons melted butter

    1 cup sugar

    2 tablespoons flour

Put the pineapple in a sauce pan and heat to boiling.

Combine the sugar and flour, then add the mixture to the boiling pineapple.

    Cook until thickened.

Remove from heat and finish by adding the butter.

Allow to cool before filling the Kolach dough.

There are au pair sites, perhaps you should post your findings there. I am sure the workaholic moms looking for help will appreciate knowing teenage au pairs will also take the sexual burden off their shoulders as well.
