    It’s a shame a great coach with back-to-back titles to his name has not been recognised by the league. They should be ashamed they have allowed his name to be forgotten. I believe there’s a lot more to this than we know.

    I haven’t really heard any other outlet but the rockets org themselves mention anything about Rudy.

    Regional Rockets: The cover Sports Illustrated wouldn’t print for the rest of the nation--and almost didn’t print at all--was a sellout in Houston.

    The special cover of NBA MVP Hakeem Olajuwon and the champion Houston Rockets was only available in Houston and only on 300,000 copies. The rest featured World Cup soccer out front.

    SI had planned to publish a special edition only if the New York Knicks won the championship. But the New York-based magazine reversed the decision after outraged Houstonians swamped their switchboards with complaints.

    1) whose fault is that? Dude got into the HOF. If he isn't known nationally...that's on the media too. Dude won 2 straight championships.
    2) So what? Does that mean you just leave him off the list you are reporting on?

    He is also a 5 time NBA All-star and a Olympic gold medal winning coach. I'm sure If he had coached the Knicks, Celtics, Heat or if he had coached the Lakers to a title, CNN would have mentioned his name.

    He did knock out the Lakers as a player in 1981 then the Knicks in 1994... The Astros learned beating Los Angeles and New York is unforgivable.

    To be fair Kobe KG & Duncan are another level.

    I don't know much about the WNBA but I presume Tamika is a big deal.

    But yea not sure why they didn't list all of them probably only adds 1 line.
