Not sure if this is specifically a GARM or NBA thread, but it's better than coronavirus thread number 243,598,521, so sure let's play along. The Score article linked in the tweet is tiny and has zero content. The only thing of note is that it links to the actual article by Casino.org, which can be found here:

    https://www.casino.org/opinions-of-officials-online/

Unfortunately, I wouldn't say the actual article has much content either. Some sort of pretty graphics that really don't say anything anybody doesn't already know. Popular teams have the most complaints about referrees. NBA fans have the most complaints out of the big three sports. Not surprising since NBA refs have the most ability to influence their games. Ken Mauer was mentioned less than I expected, but I imagine that's due to them not searching r/thewalkingdead.

Overall, the article feels like someone's excuse to test drive their latest desktop publishing program, and the depth of research is sub-high-school level.

Astros fans are the only Houston fans to be top 10 in their complaints about the officials of their respective sports. Probably not surprising.

I wouldn't have expected Raptors fans to talk about refs the most.

Being with Clutchfans so much, I would think Rockets fans would be top 3.

Rockets fans don't really use reddit much.

Every team's fanbase including the lakers and warriors think the refs are out to get them. No different than the rocket's fanbase.

There are some really choice refs in the NBA, a couple of which are highlighted here. I dont think they are exclusively out to get the Rockets, but I do think there are nights where that is true depending on their mood, our teams level of complaint, our opponent, and the playoff situation.

After watching 25 years of playoffs since I was a kid, I am absolutely convinced that NBA refs guide games at key moments in ways that NHL, MLB and NFL do not. Sinxe the 2000s we've seen it happen to the Kings, the Rockets, the Suns, the Mavericks, in high profile series and situations.

There are also games where they clearly target specific players, or clearly allow actions (traveling, moving screens, defensive 3 seconds, reaches, running under the shooter, etc) to an egregious extent for one team and then suddenly clamp down on it at key moments.

I'm not surprised by Ben Taylor being the most positive.

Bad refs are just bad, not because they are out to get your team.

You shouldn't ever know a refs name, if you do, that means they are bad

I think that's the key. Rockets fans have clutchfans to use, other fans are forced to use Reddit :p
