Chase Claypool and one Wr of Jalen Raegor/Mims will probably be our first two picks unless a back like Swift is still around which i don't think he'll make it past KC. 3rd will probably be best player available. 4th will go edge or interior dl and db. 5th probably target the WR from Liberty. Late rounds probably draft Oline and Special Teamers.

Think you have to go Edge and WR with your first 2 picks.

Receiver is Texans’ top priority in draft

...who'll get in Bob's doghouse early on
...who'll struggle to pick up Bob's garbage offense
....who'll suffer an injury, gets behind, eventually put on IR
....who in a year we're talking about "whatever happened to that WR we took?"

You had an All-Pro WR and decided to trade him ... now go lay in your shitty bed.

    Rookie year stats
    2014 3-65 TE CJ Fiedorowicz (15 games - 7 targets - 4 receptions - 28 yards - 1 TD)
    2015 3-70 WR Jaelen Strong (10 games - 24 targets - 14 receptions - 161 yards - 3 TD)
    2015 5-175 WR Keith Mumphery (16 games - 32 targets - 14 receptions - 129 yards - 0 TD)
    2016 1-21 WR Will Fuller (14 games - 92 targets - 47 receptions - 635 yards - 2 TD)
    2016 3-85 WR Braxton Miller (10 games - 28 targets - 15 receptions - 99 yards - 1 TD)
    2018 3-98 TE Jordan Akins (16 games - 25 targets - 17 receptions - 225 yards - 0 TD)
    2018 4-103 WR Keke Coutee (6 games - 41 targets - 28 receptions - 287 yards - 1 TD)
    2018 6-211 TE Jordan Thomas (16 games - 27 targets - 20 receptions - 215 yards - 4 TD)
2019 3-86 TE Kahale Warring (DNP)

If Texans are looking for a WR in rd 2, they should look no further than Tyler Johnson of Minnesota.

My prediction is that the WR the Texans want will be theirs for the taking ... only for another team to trade up to the spot right before the Texans and select that WR. Then Texans draft TE

My prediction is that GM BoB will draft a bust WR, the man can't judge talent or coach.

I don't think they'll go WR with their first pick. They have a plethora of receivers, albeit no true number 1, but I just don't think BoB will admit that he needs one.

We desperately need pass rush, and I think Zack Baun may be a good fit as an outside linebacker. Small at 6-2 240lbs but has experience dropping into coverage and has the makeup BoB is looking for.

Maybe we look at WR with our second pick. Laviska Shenault might be a great fit, similar size and speed as DHop and plays with the same type of physicality. Maybe Michael Pittman as a big possession receiver fits as well.

3rd round I want Davon Hamilton as DJ Readers replacement. 6-3 327lbs I think he could be a bit of a sleeper.

I'd be fine with Reagor and he'd certainly be one of those "versatile" guys BoB likes to tout. Akers in the 2nd would be a huge disappointment though, not from a value standpoint but with what we gave up for both David and Duke Johnson, you better be sure those guys can get it done. Plus don't think we can wait until the 90th pick to address the pass rush.

We may need a qb soon. How’s the draft pool looking?

    2 (40) - OLB Terrell Lewis
My guy Zack Baun probably goes off the board just before our pick, I think we bring in Lewis to help shore up our lack of pass rush.

    2 (57) - WR Laviska Shenault
Likely drops due to lack of top end speed and some injury history, gives us a physical WR with that attitude DHop used to have

    3 (90) - DT Davon Hamilton
Big boy who can man the middle at 325lbs, maybe we'll add a 3-4 DE here instead and try to look for some free agents to fill our NT position instead of using draft capital for a big body.

Not sure if I posted this but think Devin Duvernay - WR Texas is one of the most underrated players in the draft, certainly of the position. The WR class is exceptionally deep but to not even have him in the top 10 is crazy to me. Pretty much led the Big 12 and Top 5 nationally in almost all receiving categories. And this is coming from a Texas offense that sputtered quite often. Don’t believe he ever missed a game and only credited with 1 drop in his career. Kid was nails on 3rd down which will be a big need with Nuk gone.

Somebody's going to get a really good 10 yr starter at slot WR. I dont think he can play outside. Duvernay reminds me of a young Randall Cobb.

Only you can get Duvernay for 4 yrs at a fraction of the cost of Cobb. Too bad they didn't use Cobb's money on a difference maker on the defensive side of the ball and draft Duvernay.
