The Texans will not be fine until Cal McNair puts his big boy pants on and removes Bill O’Brien from the organization.

Also, the Texans are a much worse football team today. DeAndre Hopkins and Duke Johnson + Carlos Hyde/Melvin Gordon or a rookie running back like Jonathan Taylor and a fourth-round pick is appreciably better than David Johnson, Randall Cobb and a high second-round pick.

So we're paying $19 millions for Johnson and Cobb, instead of $14 millions for Hopkins?

Johnson, often injured and 28 years old, going to decline soon, most say already declined. Always injured and only one good season out of 5 seasons

Cobb, 30 years old, also often injured. $19 Millions GUARANTEED!!!
But he was good for one year in 2013...I think that's 7 years old????

ALL THIS MAKES SENSE. Sign and trade for guys that are often injured and only have 1 Pro bowl year in their career, while they are on the decline for their age in their position

When is the Watson trade coming?

If we still had hop this would be a great pickup. This move means bye bye keke and take Justin Jefferson in rd 2.

I can't believe there wasn't a better offer out there for Hopkins. EVEN IF DAVID JOHNSON RETURNS TO FORM THIS IS A BAD TRADE!

There were probably better offers out there but our Football Dictator was distracted while licking the windows on the short bus

I like the move. Stills, Cobb & Coutee is a nice group of slot recievers. Need a deep threat home run pick in the 2nd round opposite Fuller.

the sh^t just keeps piling up. BOB is going for a record, but the wrong kind. The Brewster's Million kind. How much wasteful spending and how many good assets can he get rid of in a single day. Cobb isn't even close to worth that contract anymore. It's like BOB is stuck in 2015. I just can't believe he's this bad a GM ...but at some point you realize the nightmare is real and we have a madman with no accountability tearing our team apart and sucking all of of the marrow out of its future. i hate the f$cking Texans. It's the biggest joke in football.

Fuller will be the #1 for about 8 games a season.

Yea, I forgot about PP, this makes me even more upset that there was something we actually needed from Cards. PP, DJ, and a 1st would have been a good haul. But I still wouldnt have liked it.

Coutee is not going to be with the team. Once you get into Bill's doghouse, he will trade even if you are a mf-ing All Pro!

This is what would happen if @ddakota was the GM of a pro sports team.

Obrien's personal wars with star players is destroying this team. Ivy league degree or not he's an idiot at his job. Cal McNair should sell the damn team if he isn't going to run it.

this is the crux of the Texans approach and it is a financial and philosophy of team approach. I believe it inherently does not have anything to do with winning but will produce the 7 to 9 wins needed to stay in the pack.

The main goal is to be in the middle, get sell outs and local buy in status quo.

Its the idea that george carlin introduced:

    "Would you rather f*uck a '10' or f*uck 5 '2's? "
In case of texans its 5 '2's and if any breaks through we trade those out for more 3rd and 4th rounders ( remember folks brady was a 6th) wash rinse repeat more 2's but we got a lot of them.

Stack em deep get em cheap

    CHEAP CHEAP
