I'm in complete shock right now. Has BOB made a statement yet? Johnson is injury prone and a fkng RB who's shelf life i'm sure will be shorter than DHop's. Unbelievable.

What else did they send Arizona? Pay half of DeAndre's salary while taking on all of David's?

    Bend the **** over Bill.

Unlike many NFL players, Hopkins would be absolutely deserving of whatever the maximum is, for an NFL WR. This is ridiculous.

Nuk was my favorite player by far and I absolutely hate the idea of him not being on the roster
But honestly how many of us thought we were a contender before the trade?

IF, and that is a big IF, we end up rebuilding instead of being pretenders, hopefully this can be a win in the long run. Sometimes you have to take a step backward to move forward.

Plus, just maybe, if we are bad enough we can end the Bob tenure as part of this organization. Ive been a "defender" of his for a while but I cannot back this at all.

Serious question: why would Deshaun want to stay here long term?

I've never seen a top WR in his prime that didn't cause team issues get traded for a 2nd rate package like this in my life. SUPER lulz. What a joke. There is no excuse for this. David Johnson can lead the league in total yards next season AND rush TD's and this would STILL be incredibly lopsided.

You could even ALSO add Antonio Brown on the cheap, get great production from him, and this trade would STILL be lopsided.

How does BoB continue to gain authority in this organization? He'll own the Texans by 2022 at this rate.

BTW - I think it's much more likely David Johnson gets CUT, than lead the league in total yards and rush TD's. Lulz.

Might just be a fantasy football / general NFL fan going forward. I'm not rocking with this franchise with the way it is being managed. Hate to say it but this just doesn't interest me right now. This is a step too far.

Worst trade in franchise history, by a wide margin. And that's saying a lot.

Still in shock. Will go down as one of the dumbest trades in Houston history. DW will leave, wth is BoB thinking? How does he continue to get away with dumb moves like these...smh

    Good, and it shouldn't.

Hopkins was a warrior, complete team player and leader.

It's just a bad move, no excusing it, even if Johnson has a good year you still created a need.

That's the issue with these trades, BOB creates needs by filling others.

Need a LT? Trade a pass-rusher/run stopper to do it.
Need a RB? Trade a #1 WR to do it.

You do not fill a need by creating another need. Now we NEED a #1 WR so that means more desperate moves to be made.

With David Johnson coming off a season marred by injury and losing his starting job to both Chase Edmonds and Kenyan Drake, the Texans had a perfect opportunity to buy low. What did they do? They paid high.

    BAD DAY

    Let me give away JD
    Let me give away Hop
    Watson, you're next next year.

"We were afraid we were going to lose Deshaun Brian so we traded him in division to the Colts/Jaguars and got back a 3rd round pick in 2021 and 2nd round pick 2022. Excited about those picks, excited about Tom Savage. Feel real good about Tom leading us forward. Best interest of the team Brian."
