Yes, or anyone that can cover for him in case of an injury.
We're are all in, no plan B.
    This season is hurting me

Tbh I do think having Capela was a problem, cuz he is a PnR big and the Rox became the last PnR team this year. In a vacuum Capela is a good player, but he is extremely limited all he is good for is PnRs he doesnt have shooting or a post up game and since the team and Harden moved away from PnRs then he was underutilized and just got in the way of Russ. On defense he barely made any impact like the Rox were 2-3 pts better with him on the court it was prob the defensive scheme cuz they dont funnel the opponents to him the Rox just switch everything. Rebounds were def an asset but since we got Mr. Trip Dub Russ kinda made up for lost rebounding.

If he made the min then ok he can chill beside Chandler and Hartenstein but Capela makes 16M thats a lot of wasted cap. I dont think getting RoCo was correcting a mistake he is a premier 3nD wing you need to pay up to get him and keep him off other team's hands. Even if we kept Ariza he would've been too old and woul've cost a lot to keep around for a slight upgrade to Thabo he got like 15M to move teams iirc.

Capela also had plantar fascitis so that prob tanked his stock a bit. Ideally the Rox should have moved him in the summer maybe if they did that trade then it wouldnt have cost a FRP to do.

Why wasn’t he playing that many minutes a game in SA?

If WB goes out or plays bad, we are going to lose in the playoffs with or without Capela. Actually I think having Covington helps us cover for Westbrook playing bad for a shot period of time. In either case, no Westbrook = no playoff success .. no matter who is at 5

Imagine if we only played PJ 25-30 minutes a night and he could have that kind of energy on the floor every minute he's out there.

WE are better offensively. Shoot the threes and westbrook can avg more points. Plus we got a better free throw shooters down the stretch. How is that not better offensive. Taking away a one trick pony opens up new scoring opportunity for everyone to touch the ball.

Just looking at that list makes me so happy. Morey did us good. Looking forward to getting back to winning games defensively.

Height is overrated. I used to think playing PJ at center would be the death of us. Instead, he's the best defensive center we've had since Chuck Hayes, who ironically was also a very short center. I loved Clint and think he's a good defender, but he was the weak link in our switching defense.

Guys that can switch on the perimeter, while having active hands for steals, will be our best bet for defense going forward. Covington is rare in that he can get both steals and blocks. If we had two of him it would be very hard to score on us.

I would love to see practice with Bomb Squad of (Brodie, James, EG, Covington, and PJ - Thabo) vs (Rivers, House, Bmore, Demarre, and Green-Caboclo)

Clint's problem was on the offensive end
    1. Couldn't hit a shot outside 5 feet
    2. Throw up a weak left and right hand shots (we would groan when he tried a crazy double pump layup or hard jump hook)
    3. Poor decision maker with the basketball (Teams would double james when they ran pNr and left Clint open to receive the ball and he couldn't make a play. Couldn't get to rim with dribble and didn't make the right pass.

With our pace I’m hoping we play all of

    westy/rivers
    Harden/Gordon
    House/b-mac
    Covington/sef or green or Caboclo/Carroll
    Tucker/Carroll/Caboclo

I think Carroll is going to be good here in the pj role of just defense and corner 3s and will play backup center

We need all our players to get rest with how much we run

Carroll forte is on ball defense.

Covington is elite off ball defender.

Tuck is very good at both.

    I love our mix.
