**** Tilman Fertita. I can't imagine how difficult it is for Morey to operate with Tilman's cheap ass hanging over his head. Every team knows how he operates and his tax goals, giving Morey no leverage at all in any possible deals. He has made DM's primary job to save money year after year. He fired all of our assistant coaches for no reason, then after backlash went into "extension negotiations" to save face. What a shock that no extension was reached. When does an owner go into negotiations to extend a coach and come out with no deal? When he has no intention of having a deal at all. MDA was made into a lame duck coach and everybody knows it; how do you think that affects the players and rest of the coaching staff? This guy is a narcissistic, entitled, know it all who has NO CLUE how to run a sports organization. He is going to ruin what has been a fantastic era of basketball in Houston Rockets history. Exactly right. We had a juggernaut of team which he has little by little picked away at it every year since. That is what I hate about him, he always tries to cover his true intentions and when he is interviewed he always says that he is willing to pay luxury taxes but the truth is that he does not deceive the media. You don't fool anyone Ferfita !!!
I'd trade Tilman for Dolan. Dolan actually is rich and doesn't care about how the GM spends his money. Dolan actually shows up to watch the games consistently, even though he constantly gets harassed by Knicks fans. When's the last time you saw Tilman at an actual Rockets game? Like a month ago? His kids care more about the team than he does. Both care more about their side gigs, but at least Dolan doesn't go on ESPN talking a bunch of BS that he will never back up.
Tilman has been at almost every game. I’m not using that against him. He pays for those seats he’s gonna use em or sell them on flash seats. But yea he sucks
When I found out that Tillman is financing the purchase through a loan from Les, I knew we were screwed.
Glad we got an owner who isn’t going to spend just to spend. And glad we got an owner who has standards and holds people accountable.
We have these results even with Daryl Morey. A very shrewd , experienced and adept at cap manipulations General Manager. What happens when he is fired and his son becomes our GM? You think he can save money AND get a good player here?
