Westbrook has been amazing since early December. He's everything we wanted him to be and I say that as a major WB critic.

The organization is failing him right now.

For the love of God! Brodie!

    Stop shooting long-range 2s!

I dun think so, apart from athleticism and pace, WB posts similar numbers, plays same position.

Doesn't complement Harden and the others perfectly.

He knew what he was getting himself into.
Still better than staying on them Thunder.

This is probably the best WB we can get, probably another half notch up.

Without Ben Simmons showing him how in the games, this would have been harder.

I mean. Harden has been at or near the top of the league in drives to the basket per game for several years running now. Just because he shoots an inordinate amount of 3s doesn’t mean he isn’t also attacking during these games a lot.

    Drives per game rank

    16/17 - 3rd in drives
    17/18 - 2nd in drives
    18/19 - 1st in drives
    19/20 - 6th in drives

The thing is Westbrook has also been at or near the top of that list the last few years as well. Adding him to Harden has been a good thing. Especially since Westbrook mostly has ditched what he is terrible at the last 10 or so games and stuck to driving.

I’m happy with the result Westbrook has gotten on his mid range jumpers in January, but you would have to ignore his entire career to think he is going to continue to hit that mid range jumper like he has this month. He just isn’t a shooter. Nonetheless he has clearly made an effort that he hasn’t put in over the entirety of the rest of his career by mostly leaving the stupid long jumpers and 3s alone.

This might be the most perfect post, right down to the PS. It is indeed exciting to see Russ playing within himself. He can do more than enough things well on the court; we don't need to sweat over him not being a 3 pt. threat. We knew he wasn't a 3 pt. threat. His game was never hanging out at the 3 pt. line and playing off ball. We knew the only way this was gonna work is if Russ focused on ball distribution and attacking the rim. This is the way Russ has to play. Now Harden has to find a way to adjust a little better.

The fact that MDA admitted that he was telling Russ to jack up 3's just tells you everything we need to know about our coach. It didn't take a rocket scientist to know that Russ plays best as a perpetrator who can finish at the rim. Why MDA would encourage him to jack up a lot of 3's is mystifying to me.

    Russell Westbrook

A Taller, Stronger, Healthier, Younger, Fast Point Guard that can run for Fast Break Points

    Post Up for Easy Points

    Midrange Shots

    Great Leaper for Tough Rebounds

    Passing is very impressive

Weakness is really his 3 point shooting and Free Throws, his Free Throws now are consistently good now.

Positive Leader unlike Chris Paul negatively criticizing players, when he himself is not producing.

Eric Gordon coming back really helped, Russell Westbrook game, Russell can play off of Eric, like Chris Paul and Eric Gordon with the 2nd unit.

just thought about this... I think he had a breakthrough when he missed that 3 against the clippers and Beverley mocked him. He said F this and decided to seek and destroy the rim ever sonce
