    After losing to San Antonio

    Capela/Harrell/Hartenstein
    PJ / Harrell / Decker
    Ariza/Gordon
    Gordon/ Melton/ Lou
    Harden/ Beverly

and 5 future 1st round picks

Sometimes the best move is no move at all. Now we stuck and we have no moves at all

    Dekker would've still washed out.

Melton would get zero PT behind those guards so Clutchfans would demand that we develop him and that he will eventually make Gordon and Lou expendable.

Lou would still be incredibly streaky and play poor defense.

Bev would be a mediocre ball handler and also a streaky shooter with poor finishing inside.

People would undervalue what Ariza brings and demand that he be traded or cut.

People would want Capela and Harrell to play next to each other and for Harrell to develop a 3-point range.

I really like that team, but a lot of those players got major hate when they were here. And then Paul did, too.

Where's our former third star Ryan Anderson? Did you just forget about him? :D

What if we had made no moves and just kept Lamb? That would've been cool.

Sometimes having hindsight makes decisions a lot easier.

I don't think that team had the stable two-way presence that CP3 brought.

Ariza, Lou, Bev are all primarily one-way specialists. I like them, though.

I think we are forced to conclude that the NBA will be just fine if the Rockets make no moves. :(

The question should be is the current team better than that team?

Unfortunately the playoffs aren’t a one and done style.

I don’t know how we advance in the playoffs when whoever we play inevitably doubles harden every possession.

History has shown we cannot make enough threes 4/7 games to overcome our shortcomings

I agree with this, it belongs right here in NBA Dish, where we can keep praising other teams. Besides, prime Harden is not going to net any truly valuable future picks.

Anybody criticizing the CP3 trade doesn't know what the hell they are talking about, the Harden/Paul tandem was amazing. All of those supporting players aren't a contender. The problem was literally everything el cheapo did on the heels of the 65 win team. Letting Ariza go and moving heaven and earth to dump Anderson early.

The 20 million expiring of Anderson, the 14 million expiring of Gordon, De'Anthony Melton and 5 first round picks to play with. Can you imagine the talent Morey could have added last offseason with that and our full TPMLE.
