So our super smart IC knew that “Soleimani orchestrated the attack” yet did nothing to stop it.

...couldn't you just picture the Donald standing on the deck of some aircraft carrier, ala Alec Baldwin...

...giving some stirring speech about...oh, I don't know...a bowl of Fruit Loops, maybe...

...stirring the troops to go into Iran and win...FREEEEEDOOOOMMMM!

    ...oh wait, sorry...

    ...that was Mel Gibson's line wasn't it?:p:D

    One thing I know for a 100% locked-down certainty.

If Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton had ordered this attack, the same people who are now wringing their hands and decrying it, would be celebrating this as a bold and decisive move by the most brilliant leader of our time.

For exactly the same actions and results.

She was on fox news this morning. She was not a fan. Did she not get invited on to CNN or ABC?

and you'd be wrong. "fans" of obama and hillary know that they would never put themselves in this type of situation, unilaterally assassinating a high-ranking official of a sovereign state w/o any consultation from congress, bc they aren't that stupid or corrupt. that's what the MAGA folks don't seem to get - not all of us worship at the altar of politicians simply bc they fly the same political flag, nor do many of us fall into the type of cult of personality that trump has created and fostered to the point where his base practically considers him infallible.

don't you find it odd that you seemingly agree w everything this guy does, no matter how unorthodox, irrational or offensive... that almost nothing garners criticism from his base? imagine a guy w as many known faults and transgressions as donald and thinking, automatically and without hesitation, that he's the one that deserves all the benefit of doubt. the guy has told you all along what type of deceitful POTUS he'd be but you refused to believe him, no matter how many tweets come back from his past.

You are wildly wrong. For example, Barack Obama's order to carry out the execution of Osama bin Laden.

The equivalent was Al Bagdadi and the media praised the act. And I remember right wing outlets attacking Obama for making it about himself rather than the acts of the SEAL team. Bin Laden and Al Bagdadi are stateless actors who's deaths don't potentially cause a new war.

This is Trump escalating something that was in a much better situation a few years ago that he caused to spiral downward. Iran has been discernibley more brazen in Iraq ever since Trump violated the Iran Deal.

oh yes, who can forget the overwhelming applause got from the right when bin laden was killed

btw, the fact that you can't differentiate between a nomadic, cave-dwelling terrorist w no country affiliation whatsoever and the military leader of one of the largest countries in the world speaks volumes. oh ya, how many NSC meetings did trump hold before this assassination? the obama admin held 5 meetings and took 5 months of planning and consulting before executing.

but go on, keep looking like a disingenuous bootlicker.

and of American citizens deemed "terrorists":

    https://jonathanturley.org/2012/03/07/obamas-kill-policy/

In his speech, Holder was clear and unambiguous on only one point: “The president may use force abroad against a senior operational leader of a foreign terrorist organization with which the United States is at war — even if that individual happens to be a U.S. citizen.” The use of the word “abroad” is interesting because senior administration officials have previously suggested that the president may kill an American anywhere and anytime, including within the United States. Holder’s speech does not materially limit that claimed authority, but stressed that “our legal authority is not limited to the battlefields in Afghanistan.” He might as well have stopped at “limited” because the administration has refused to accept any practical limitations on this claimed inherent power.

"Have you guys ever tried "raping" a girl without using force? Try it. It's basically impossible. Date rape does not exist"

"When is the last time women organized to support a men's rights issue? Stop being sticks. Who cares about breast cancer and rape? Not me.[70]"

Rape via an alpha male is different from other forms of rape. We can't really understand this, as our culture is too detached from instinct.[75]"

"Do a Google image search for "lions mating." That's basically rape and it's also the natural form of sex.[76]"

"Women enjoy rough sex because "ability to kill males and rape females" was primary evidence of evolutionary fitness.[77]"

"Since prison rape is no big deal (after all, criminals deserved to be raped), why don't we have co-ed prisons?[78]"

    - Mike Cernovich

Dude also was ARRESTED for rape and the charges dropped to battery of a women and did community service.

He also in bad faith started attacks on James Gunn, and ****ed over the production schedule of Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

    Typical Trump supporter.

and? show me the wildly popular support from those on this board for that policy? show me where posters here applauded obama and gave him cart blanche to kill whomever he pleased? and again, explain to me how an enemy combatant fighting for a nation-less terrorist organization is even remotely equivalent to a head of state of sovereign country. and explain to us if you think these decisions by the obama administration were made unilaterally, in haste and without consultation of the NSC.

    thanks in advance.

The strike under Obama against bin Laden was well done and long overdue. Obama gave an order that one would hope any president would have given, and the Democrat left media and many people here on this board tried to present that episode as if Obama was some sort of epic hero for his actions in that, and nearly left the impression that they wanted people to think that Obama lowered down the rope and shot bin Laden himself. It was so far over the top, it can hardly be overstated.

But everyone on the right thought it was the right call and was pleased with Obama for having made the right decision on this matter, especially since he had such a long record of making the wrong decision on so many other issues.

I do not see anyone making this all about Trump. It was a drone strike for crying out loud. Trump made the right call and everyone else did their jobs. It was very well done and the world is a safer place today, especially for Americans, as a result of this mission.

And if Barack Obama or Hillary Clinton had made the decision on this, virtually everyone on the left would have agreed that it was well done, with the possible difference being the excessive attributions of bravery in making this call, as we saw in the Osama bin Laden incident.

The backlash from most of the left here is just more TDS and more blatant hypocrisy, of the sort that we constantly see from these people it seems like nearly every day now.

Honestly there is nothing more I can say. You ignore my points and just regurgitate a preconceived reply that ignored any of my points.

Iran escalated their presence in Iraq after Trump withdrew from the Iran Deal. He started this drop into the rabbit hole. For all his rhetoric about not wanting to get involved in anymore long drawn out expensive entanglements in the middle East, his action with Iran for the past few years have some a great disservice to that rhetoric and campaign promise.

I'm sure there were random politicans and social media accounts that praised Obama and then over the top fashion. But notice the rhetorical difference between Obama and Trump themselves after they green lit the assassinations of Bin Laden and Al Bagdadi. Notice how self-aggrandizing Trump was announcing the Al Bagdadi's death vs Obama announcing Bin Laden"s death. Both sides of the political spectrum overcredited the presidents. That's to be expected in partisan politics. It's not expected that the president himself is so narcissistic and self aggrandizing.
