But see here is the problem... The House and Senate should HOLD ALL Corrupt Presidents and their Cabinet responsible and punish them accordingly..

This partisan crap is just that crap... Stop thinking of ways that he should have been protected or how they should or will help him to get out of it...

The Republicans are setting a standard and putting things in play that are going to come back and bite them in the ASS!!..

Senate will acquit and nothing will change. There are two America’s and I no longer enjoy hearing the other side’s perspective. I am taking a break until Trump is voted out or his second term is up, removed from office, or the Rockets make the NBA Finals. Good Luck and God Bless.

It would only dump if there was concern that he would be kicked out of office. Investors know nothing is going to change.

Yes, you are right, he is not going to nowhere with the GOP controlled senate, but the many investors are to lose money in the end

Wow. I find this column very surprising. They may lose a lot of subscriptions.

"To the many evangelicals who continue to support Mr. Trump in spite of his blackened moral record, we might say this: Remember who you are and whom you serve. Consider how your justification of Mr. Trump influences your witness to your Lord and Savior. Consider what an unbelieving world will say if you continue to brush off Mr. Trump’s immoral words and behavior in the cause of political expediency. If we don’t reverse course now, will anyone take anything we say about justice and righteousness with any seriousness for decades to come? Can we say with a straight face that abortion is a great evil that cannot be tolerated and, with the same straight face, say that the bent and broken character of our nation’s leader doesn’t really matter in the end?

We have reserved judgment on Mr. Trump for years now. Some have criticized us for our reserve. But when it comes to condemning the behavior of another, patient charity must come first. So we have done our best to give evangelical Trump supporters their due, to try to understand their point of view, to see the prudential nature of so many political decisions they have made regarding Mr. Trump. To use an old cliché, it’s time to call a spade a spade, to say that no matter how many hands we win in this political poker game, we are playing with a stacked deck of gross immorality and ethical incompetence. And just when we think it’s time to push all our chips to the center of the table, that’s when the whole game will come crashing down. It will crash down on the reputation of evangelical religion and on the world’s understanding of the gospel. And it will come crashing down on a nation of men and women whose welfare is also our concern."

Next November is going to be so delicious. When does the next round of baseless impeachment start?

LOL... and as expected, trump attacks Christianity Today... as a "far left magazine." Even funnier, he brings up Billy Graham's "family" (note not Billy Graham, who would be deeply offended by trump's attack on a Christian publication, but the "family", likely franklin graham, who has politicized Christianity in efforts to defend/support trump). trump completely ignores the moral argument made by Christianity Today. Laughable that this is the least moral, least Christian president of all time. One that doesn't follow the teachings of Christ, let alone attend church or even read the Bible. And he has the audacity to point his tiny finger at "non-believer Dems"? To bring it to an even fine point... does anyone actually believe he ever read Christianity Today before the news hit they called for his impeachment? Note he even referred to them as "ET" in his second tweet... he must have meant Entertainment Today.

Added: and who founded Christianity Today?

No surprise he attacked them. If his son turned on him this morning, his son would magically become the radical left by noon.

I wonder what’s Pence doing today? Pulling his article from CT?

...here's one time I'll defend the Donald.

He should be mad as hell at them, over at "Christianity Today" or "Christianity Yesterday" or "What If Christianity Weekly"...

...these were the same people who were parading around the Donald as some kind of divine messenger or savior, right?...

...I mean the Donald's a BABY Christian, for heaven's sake...how's he supposed to know this early on how much of a hypocrite he's supposed to be, at just the right time and at just the right situation...?

...He quoted Two Corinthians for them or something, at one of his rallies, didn't he? That didn't count for something? Nobody mentioned anything to the Donald then about walking-it, not talking-it?...

Seems like throwing out the baby with the bathwater ain't actually all that far away from defending abortion, is it?:confused:o_O

    Look.

For me, the Donald, again, has always been the Donald. Nobody at that "Christian" magazine gave two hints of a damn about the Donald's "morality" and "ethics" when he was threatening to shoot babies or buddying around with racists or calling Mexicans rapists...he's been more forthright, in an odd sort of way, than any of the people now who propped him up and fell for his spiel...so I totally get the Donald feeling in his mind (such as it is) betrayed...

...but even still, the Donald doesn't get a pass now for getting marked in his own con.

...if there's one time (in all of this buffoonery masquerading itself as some semblance of a presidency) that the Donald's made his point about any of this garbage, it's now.

...Maybe I've underestimated the Donald somewhere else, too.

He may actually at some point in time have read about this Jesus character all of these "Christians" go on and on about...

...( or maybe had the major spots bullet-pointed to him on flash cards...whatever works, I guess)...

...the same people just a week before they'd symbolically cheered that Jesus guy entering into their city, fulfilling some long-lost prophecy...
...were standing around mocking him at his public execution for refusing to be something or prove something to them on their terms...

...which would be about the only thing the Donald would have in common with that guy. Except that the Donald's no sacrificial lamb.

You put an apple in his mouth and slow-roast him over an open flame, though...now that's a luau...
