Did PJ slip? WTF was he doing?

Why didn't Capela try and close out? There wasn't enough time for that big guy to pass to the inbounder for a 3. What a waste of his length/shotblocking.

I don’t understand why MDA put Harden on the court with 1s left. Playing D?

We had 10 more turnovers than them tonight. That was the problem.

Extremely hard to win when they are shooting lights out and you turn the ball over 10 times.

Have to hold the team accountable and blame our execution and defense. Can’t call it a lucky shot. It was a wide open shot for someone who hits threes. (Maybe that wasn’t your point, didn’t look at the context so apologies if that wasn’t your point)

Inexcusable at home, when the opponent is on the 2nd night of the back to back. Crushed them on the boards at least, and gave the possessions right back with stupid TOs. WBs best shooting night in a very, very long time. Shame to waste it, and two monstrous rebounding nights from Capela and, my God, Tucker with 19 boards.

I see that Mac's coach turned into a pumpkin this evening.

Why the heck is Tucker dropping off so much to the paint for? There was nobody in the paint. He literally let him have a wide open shot.

Our players do it all the time. They lose focus when the pressure is on. It's the reason why we won't win a championship with this roster or with this coach.

For the last play you needed a defensive stop. You need to have smart defensive players in there like Clark and Sefolosha because they know how to cover for people’s mistakes. What a shock that their best 3 point shooter is left wide open at the line. MDA never thinks defense first is always offense on his mind.

nah...the Rockets were 11-1 against below .500 teams before tonight’s L...it’s the good teams we haven’t been able to beat

u clearly underestimate how powerful the refs can be when they get to work...Lakers, Clippers, and Bucks is a for sure 5 vs 8

You can blame the refs AND the team. We can be dialectical here.

Like Game 7. The only Game 7 we think of when we say "Game 7" now. The Rockets shot horribly from three. It was the worst (and thus most likely) time for the heavy three strategy to fail. However, we all know it was NOT 27 straight missed threes unless you believe the refereeing was fair. Also, much less remembered, the Rockets actually DID try to adjust to the threes not falling, and the refs let them get mugged on the drive with no calls forcing the team back behind the arc where it couldn't hit anything that night. Now, what happens in Game 7 if the Rockets are allowed to adjust to a more driving style using the best driving player in the league? We'll never know.

In this game, points were taken away and ghost fouls called on the defense. I mean, yes, the Rockets defense can always, ALWAYS be better. Always. However, when you're in the penalty at the 8-minute mark and have to defend the other team with kid gloves, there's only so much you can do.

The Kings played a very good game and were quite effective at keeping Harden contained. And we learned that Russell Westbrook can subvert that strategy, which is exactly why he's here. That's good to know. It was still 8-on-5.

Honestly, the fact that the Rockets still came that close to winning should be considered an achievement here.

I thought the switching defense was to prevent this type of thing. Never seems to quite work out though.

At least it wasn’t a playoff game!! Harden and Russ have certainly had that happen to then

Yeah, you can tell he was pissed. He said something like "He was wide open for some reason."

PJ just fell right asleep and had a brain fart. Nothing you can do as a coach there, you probably expect Russ or Harden to leave someone open on defense and it was your best defender.

That shot is not luck. This is an NBA caliber player who can shot that got a wide open 3. He is supposed to make that shot. It wasn't luck it was naturally awful defense from Houston which is par for the course.

I'm guessing the 2minute report will say the refs were wrong, but the rockets should not have left a player wide open.....

We are officially the NBA's b****, welcome to purgatory. We thought Scott Foster and Brothers had a hit out on us.... Other refs be like "hold my beer"

Silver, NBA and the refs will punish us all season for costing them money....and they will blame us for not "soldering" on .

Unfortunately, we don't have the kind of player in Harden, who can rise above attrocities, instead he plays into the refs hands and gives the media what they want... A narrative of a foul drawing, no defense playing stat ladder who wilts in the playoffs every time. It's a shame, cause he has a lot to carry, like teammates who constantly fail him when he is unable to deliver

This is gonna be a long long season

You shouldn't. I am dreading the zebra fest that'll happen when they play LeBron for real.

so yeah he was anticipating some kind of lob to the rim. there was a ton of space behind them. by that time too late to recover on a otherwise deep 3 for the win. tough shot but of course when hes playing the rockets they'd make it smh

I watched them miss a dozen of open 3s......if either team made them either team could have won by 10 or more.

    Feeling matters.

It’s such a fragile thing for the superstar of the team.
