If he can channel his starter confidence coming off the bench, BenMac could challenge Gordon for the 6th man role.

I don’t wish to reward Ben McLemore for stepping up as a starter but dogging it as a backup. House
shouldn’t be punished for McLemores mental issues between starting/reserve.

But my solution might be starting Ben for 3-4 minutes and then put in House. House getting more minutes
    throughout the game.......or hotter hand.

It doesn't matter but whomever is hot should get the majority of the minutes on a given night.

House, just cause we need some size out there. Ben is listed at 6”3. Whereas House is a legit 6”5/6”6.

This just underscores how weird the Westbrook effect is. To maximize Westbrook you have to surround him with worse players.

It's sad but the Rockets are a stretch 4/5 away from being kind of destructive. It's not really wing depth anymore.

    Andrea Bargnani are you listening?

McLemore has been better as a starter but House has been more consistent. I'm a big fan of consistency but the NBA is a competition.

Right now Mclemore is playing better, give it to who is performing or who is hot game to game, that's fair. If one takes their game consistently to a new level they'll keep the spot and have earned it along with whatever comes with that.

If both are hot, find a way to mix them in lineups together depending on the matchups for defense and rebounding.

House is a far better defender and is just more consistent, in the playoff we'll need that balance and you already know who'll bring that between the two.

Starting Mc migh tbe good to boost his value though.

House is the better player and better fit imo. I don't like ignoring the hot hand though, so keep Mclemore in till he eventually cools off.

House is a pretty good defender too. Ben isn't one.

I prefer McLemore. Not only due to the obvious increase in his production as a starter, but the thought of a House/EG bench unit is very appealing.

Obviously House is starter-level, though, so not opposed to him starting. Just worry about McLemore being downgraded.

Who's better playing alongside Westbrook while Harden sits?

I’m curious to see what MDA does with Russ late in games when EG returns.

because if teams are going to keep putting 2 guys on Harden as soon as he crosses half court we need atleast 3 shooters on the floor when that happens to especially in crunch time.

Winning time against that D I’m going with harden surrounded by PJ, House, EG and either rivers or Mclemore. I’m leaning more towards rivers because he’s a better defender and playmaker off the dribble but I do think in a set shot situation Ben is the better shooter.

Then you have to deal him to Heat for Herro, Numm and Robinson.
Heat can add all the overpaid contracts to make salary work.

    bench mclemore would waste talent.

It's not about who is the best player, it's about making the team better and putting everyone in a position to succeed. Ben has been benched. I hope he has the same production so this won't even be a question.

Crazy how close the poll is.

Maybe start house but sit Harden early instead of WB. It would give Harden more time with Ben off of the bench. And seeing Harden against mainly bench units would be comical. It’s obviously not going to happen but it could be fun to watch and fix some things.
