Likely waste of time but might as well I guess. Can’t hurt.

The blown call is still not what was truly concerning about Tuesday’s game, though.

The refs screwing us over has been a common theme. I thought he would be cheap and not protest. I stand happily corrected.

Sounds like you're talking about something entirely different and unrelated. The protest is about the 2 points not counted when it should have, in addition to the refusal to grant the coach's challenge or request for review. The protest does not demand for a win, but probably at most will note the circumstances and implications that led to the loss. If the league on its own deems it worthy of replaying or crediting us a win, then so be it. But analysts with half a brain and balls in hand will spout... "BUT THEY SHOULD HAVE WON!"

This protest would have happened even if we had won by 5 or 10. The handling of the coach's challenge and the refusal to review the play was that egregious. The output will likely be that the league will be told most definitively how to handle the same or similar situation. Anyone making this about how bad this looks for the Rockets don't care about the game and its integrity.

It doesn't matter how badly the Rockets played. Every single poster here is in agreement that it shouldn't have been close at the end of the game. That is a wholly separate thing.

This is like "Judge disallows defense's key witness because he forgot his glasses and didn't see him on the witness list. Defense filing appeal." It actually doesn't matter if the defendant was very likely innocent or very likely guilty; the just thing to do is to declare a mistrial and invalidate the verdict.

Teams get hot and cold in games...it happens. The fact that the Rockets 100% should've had 2 more points on the board @ the end of regulation was the difference, but to some it apparently doesn't matter bc we got cold @ the wrong time? Seriously, do these people really watch basketball? Realize how many games would be changed if the other team was missing 2 points @ the end of regulation. It makes a huge difference in the game not just the points but the strategy played at the end.

Absolutely. You don't have to scream and shout for every wrongdoing that happens in your life. But now and then, you MUST take a stand and plant your flag. Otherwise, the man will just run you over every time.

I like that you have to take preemptive action to get a fair shake.

Exactly. What, the Spurs should win the game because they ALMOST caught up to us at the end of regulation? A 2 point win is a win, it counts the same as a 20 point win.

It is not about the win or loss.

It's always good to challenge blatant wrongness. Stand with the true!
