If this thread becomes a serious "why didn't we get Melo, we could've used him" thread then I'm at loss for words.
why didn't we get Melo? we could have used him this year. Morey you idiot. Tilman you cheapskate. MDA you knucklehead. Russell you brick chucker. Harden you regular season superstar post-season failure.
Why stop there. Gordon you no fun having scrub, maurey you short power forward loving gm, capella you soft big, Parsons you douche bag, why didn't we draft rashard Lewis? Why didn't we trade for Jordan? Why did we give Cato a huge contract. I'm done. Be well.
I truly wish Melo only the best. His tenure here was a failure but he didn’t spread it to the other players, much respect.
So he got hot (10/20) against a crappy team. Against a young player in Markkanen who is not good on defense and seems to have very little motivation this year. I will reserve my final judgement for when Melo is consistently putting up 20 on 50% shooting. But, right now I don’t think Melo taking more shots that CJ or Dame is a recipe for success.
Yes, MOF's, because what this team needs is another egotistical "star" that gets their kicks off jacking up contested mid range jumpers.
Would certainly be nice if we currently had ANYBODY to give us 25pts (off 10/20) coming off the bench. But who am I? Just a observant fan that follows actual games
Well, he averaged around 13.4 ppg in 10 games with the Rockets, shot around 33% from 3, better than Westbrook. Mostly coming off the bench. 29 minutes.
I was about to say... I watched the highlights and dude seemed explosive which shocked the hell out of me. Random test incoming LOL!!!
Make this point when he is averaging 25 coming off of the bench for the Blazers. How quickly people forget about Gordon. He is supposed to be the bench scoring. Hopefully he is back to his old self by mid January.
That is too far back but I think more than one player played atrociously in those 10 games. 4-6 better than the Blazers' record.
Soooooo cynical. Not that I disagree. Who will be the NBA's Jose Canseco, who ends up blowing the lid off the NBA's pharmaceutical enhancement secrets? And will it be covered by the media as well as they did in exposing an actually crooked referee?
I I was fooled by Bonds, McGuire, Sosa, Clemons etc years ago. I learned that no matter the training, Men don't get faster or more explosive in their mid 30's. Unless they get just a little "boost". I'm not mad at Melo either way. The man has to do what he can to stay in the league. The baseline dunk is what got my attention. He hasn't exploded like that in years.
