I honestly think it's extremely unfair to compare players purely based on post-season, if one of those players can consistently rest, manage his minutes and still have a team that goes 17-5 without him.

The NBA is a marathon, with the playoffs being the final sprint to the finish. If one guy gets to run 2/3 of that marathon and sit in a car the rest of the way, he would be significantly more rested than a guy that ran the whole marathon and the playoffs.

People harping on rings/championship so obsessively is how we got Durant going to the Warriors in the first place. It's an artificial dynasty that destroyed parity in the league for years. Would people be happier if Harden bailed on the Rockets to play with Lebron or another stacked team? Because Harden would easily get a ring that way and I bet he'd come away with very impressive stats too whilst he was at it.

Would you say that Kawhi has had better players around him …. in SA and in Toronto and now again in LAC ?

In SA he wasn't even top dog , he had a at least two and maybe 3 HOFers carrying much of the load. (Duncan , Parker and Ginobili)

Toronto was a 50 win team before he showed up.

The Clippers were a solid team last year and add him along with PG13.

I think Kawhi is a very good all around player … but he's not on Harden's level. He cant put a team on his back. Harden does it every night - He just ran into the best team in the last 30 years and didn't have enough help to get over the hump.

One of these guys has been surrounded by great players , the other one has carried his team alone.

Pretty amazing how Goodwill is so open with his hate now when he tried to act like he wasn't a hater after that last article.

Harden has no excuses for his numerous poor elimination games over the past 5 years. I don't trust him in later series games.

However, Kawhi doesn't get a free pass as "GOAT" for playing with the Spurs Dynasty or beating a super injured Warriors team.

He, George, Curry, Klay, so many of these guys are #2s. They're the piece that turns a contender into a champion. Harden and LeBron and a select few are the guys that have taken bottom feeder teams to contender status repeatedly. Harden gets zero credit because thinking is hard for NBA fans. See below.

Championships: Adam Morrison 2, Jeremy Lin 1
