Who is defending Donald Trump in this thread? The vast majority of posters are highly critical of the Trump administration. Hell, most support impeachment and his removal from office. There will be another election in 2020 and we will see if he can cobble enough support to be elected again.

Donald Trump is a corrupt, unqualified leader that shouldn't have been elected President and has a good chance of losing re-election. The word "idiot" has been used often by Americans to describe him. He has a very low popularity index within the USA.

You honestly do not make any sense, posting a tweet that Donald Trump congratulated the PRC government doesn't mean anything. He also has expressed fondness for the NK regime while criticizing Canada and Western Europe.

None of that changes the fact that the PRC is an incredibly oppressive regime, with a dictator that has no concern for individual rights. It is a regime that sends millions of people to concentration camps. It is 1984 on steroids, invading every facet of privacy to insure that the government has absolute and complete control of all of it's citizens. It has harvested organs in the past and now there are allegations that are serious enough to be heard by the UN of harvesting the organs of healthy innocent people. That doesn't even get into the CFC lying, and other issues.

I have no issues with the Chinese people. I do have a strong issue with the PRC, as it is a cult that is responsible for the death of over 50,000,000 of it's own citizens and has censured and controlled literally billions of people.

First the media needs to stop calling them re-education camps. That is what the CCP wants to call them but that isn’t what they are.

Second we need to educate people as to what is happening there. People like LeBron James and Joe Biden need to be forced to meet with the survivors.

Third we need to start becoming less connected to Chinese made goods.

Fourth we need to support Hong Kong and Taiwan.

The CCP is the most dangerous and disgusting entity on this planet.

    This cannot be understated.

Morey, unknowingly, threw into light something very frightening that we didn't realize. Giving China leverage one dependent dollar at a time.

Not sure about others in general.. but when I hear the word, I associate it with bad things. Camp here is associated with prison and concentration camps. Re-education in that context is force training and torture in an attempt to reprogram humans. A common practice of communist regimes. Some might start out as a real effort to "re-educate" but it usually ends up bad - that's what happens when the state and those in charge of the camps view and treat different people with a lack of basic decency, rights, and freedom.

Do you have in mind another word that is more appropriate?

Yes, concentration camp is the proper term.

The Chinese are keeping a large group of people in a camp area against their will, without trial and profiting off their labor and experimenting on them.

That doesn't even take into account the claims of organ trafficking.

    Kind of?

    In some ways yes.

The biggest difference is that the USA has no US citizens held in Quantanimo Bay and the last I checked there were 40 people still being held in Quantanimo Bay.

China on the other hand has imprisoned their own citizens and there are 2,000,0000 currently held with claims of human experimentation and organ harvesting.

I wasn't in favor of Quantanimo Bay when it started and actively protested in at marches......... but to compare "Gitmo" to the Chinese concentration camp is like comparing apples to watermelons.

You should start a thread on Gitmo though.
