Nah they actually held down defensively last season when they played. The issue is the coaching and Westbrook. Someone mentioned leadership here on this board and i believe CP3 is sorely missed here since he set the defensive tone and maybe just maybe Westbrook took over the leading role and the players emulate him on defense. If you watch they’re just playing more loose and missing assignments. A lot of confusion out there.

Morey can’t build championship teams. He builds teams that score a lot and can be fun to watch. There is a difference.

Montrez Harrell and Ernes Kanter would of been good trades or signings. Well the rockets had one of them lol..

Sign Faried to get some energy in the front court.

I’ve been saying to trade capela for love and pick up Dwight for ages.

Dwight>> capela(harden made this g league scrub a player and got him paid).

Dwight making clutch plays on both end have led lakers to winning a few of their close games. Love gives rockets exactly what they need- a 6’10 all star stretch big that actually has size and is leading the league in rebounds (top 2), play in post and stretch the floor.

Lakers reddit going crazy over Dwight and pulling a 180 buying his d37 jersey now lol

Dwight putting up ridiculous per 36 numbers and one of the best all around defenders
hes been killin it for the clippers. Morey is an idiot instead of getting this guy he trades a first for scrub shumpert who’s out of the league

That's just because Morey didn't have the precise measurement of players' sized available until this season.

Now he finally has the information that PJ Tucker is not 6'11, and Sefolosha isn't 6'10. ;)

What is wrong with Capela? That guys looks totally different man from the last playoff run. Is he hurt somewhere?

I still wish we had Faried. The few times D’Antoni actually played him next to Capela they did well.

In Ego's case I think MDA views him as Emergency backup plan number 1......to start him.

    Opponent's coaches won't be surprised. #Predictability

    You answered your own question.

Two seasons back we had Ariza playing the 4 spot …. He wanted to come back and Morey told him it wasn't happening , and anyone can see why - MONEY.
They had NO WAY of replacing his production yet they let him walk and here it is two years later and we are in that same situation. I'm not so much knocking letting him walk as I am not having a plan to replace the 40 minutes a night he guarded the oppositions best player.
Last season we went thru the whole Melo drama … and no other wings of substance. 2nd year in a row you didn't spend the full MLE.
Here we are two years removed from Ariza leaving and that void is still present. This is the 3rd consecutive year they haven't spent the full MLE …

Morey's had his hands tied financially … Its quite obvious he has to stay below that tax line.

The players we are seeking to fix this mess - a quality 4 that can shoot , defend and rebound …. cost more than the veterans minimum. That's all Morey has had to work with. You have 9 players on this roster making the veterans minimum.

Sorry to break the news to the OP

But strike Gary Clark from your list of 6'8 guys. He is 6'6 (that is his officialheight now)

Our big man have 0 basketball skills. Just pick & roll players. Need more versatility to the offense.
