Zero cred. All you've shown is that you're a fake Christian who has chosen not to live up to your own alleged Christian beliefs. There's actually a whole lot of that going around with sanctimonious Christians these days. You have zero arguments, zero excuses, and zero shame, none.
I find it funny you always go straight to attacking my faith. You attack me on something for which you have zero understanding. It just shows you have already lost the argument when you take that route.
He didn’t attack your faith, just your inability to actually adhere to its tenets. Huge difference. You and everyone reading know this though.
Bill Taylor's opening statement has been released online. https://www.washingtonpost.com/cont...-taylor/6b3a6edf-f976-4081-ba7f-bce45468a3ff/ It's 15 pages. Feel free to read it, but for those that won't: -There was a clear quid pro quo. Trump made it clear to Sondland there would be no meeting with the President and no security aid unless Zelensky PUBLICLY stated he was investigating Biden and the Democrats involvement in the 2016 election despite being told there was nothing there. -Sondland told Taylor that Trump felt that as a businessman he needed to get what he was owed before he cut a check to Ukraine -Taylor was very concerned about a shadow foreign policy emerging on Ukraine and that it would undermine a nation trying to break free from Russia and give Putin what he wanted -Bill Taylor threatened to quit over all of this
It's interesting to me, b/c that is kind of like Trump himself conflating his own identity with the GOP and even the nation. Attacks on Trump become, with his spin, attacks on the party or "criticism of America." No, dude, it's just criticism of you, and you have richly requested that criticism from all corners with your behavior. And similarly, to point out that someone doesn't seem to hold the tenets of their faith as important for their political allegiance is not at all, as you said, a criticism of that religion. Far from. We need the actual teachings of Christ more than ever, if you ask me.
Well, it's even worse than I thought. What a total goombah, if that account is accurate. The House will have a hard time not voting for impeachment now.
More highlights: -The order to hold up aid came from Mick Mulvaney and bewildered people who were assured there was no change to the stance towards Ukraine -While inquiring why aid was being held up, Taylor and John Bolton (!) were told it was being tied to the investigation into Biden. Bolten was outraged and ended the meeting. Bolton told the state dept folks that they should have nothing to do with domestic politics. John Bolton told Hill that she needed to brief the lawyers. Bolton referred to the situation as a "drug deal" and opposed a phone call between Trump and Zelensky saying it would be a "disaster." Ukrainians were in on this meeting. -Ukrainians expressed confusion to Taylor because John Bolton was trying to talk to them about security issues and Sondland was talking to them about American domestic politics and they didn't know what to do. -Sondland gave talking points to Zelensky about what to say regarding investigations into the Bidens -President Zelensky expressed discomfort through his national security advisor to Taylor about being a pawn for US domestic politics. Tayor shared those concerns with Volker and Sondland -Ukraine told Taylor that if we wanted an investigation we should make a formal diplomatic request instead of backchannel stuff -Taylor was told that Trump didn't want to give ANY of the aid to Ukraine at all
So... the knives will come out for Taylor, I guess. He's a west point grad who started his government work midway through the Reagan years, so, what do y'all think: "deep state" right? Can't exactly call him a liberal. (Well 45 can and will say anything, but you know what I mean.)
Once again you have been lynched for being an imperfect vessel trying to share your religious beliefs with a basketball BBS.
The more I read about Sondland, the more I'm shocked and flabbergasted...that the Simpsons never came up with an episode of Homer becoming an ambassador.
