Now, I do like his size and athleticism is solid. Pedigree is there and hopefully playing more man will be beneficial. But with the year he’s having a 3rd is an overpay

THAT IS A LOT OF DRAFT CAPITAL! It's not *the* most draft capital but from the guy who said they had none (hyperbole!), it is just fine.

Patrick Peterson, if he's dealt, will fetch a first round pick. The Texans do not have a first round pick. If a 2 + 3 could land Peterson, the Texans have the draft capital to make that happen.

It’s literally less than what every team normally has. Therefore not a lot. Keep telling yourself that lol.

Also, what good teams are consistently trading away higher draft picks for known commodities?

One more BTW - for all the silly people yelling that the Texans should be run more like the Astros.... this is the EXACT kind of low-risk/high-reward move the Astros would make. It might not work; then again, the last flyer they took on a CB a fan base wanted to run out of town (Roby) has worked out pretty well.

It's 85% of their normal allotment. Nobody would label 85% of anything "not a lot." Math isn't that hard.

The Bears, Cowboys, Rams, Browns, Texans, Raiders.........

You are delusional. There is absolutely no chance Luhnow takes a valuable commodity(3rd) and trades it for an underperforming lottery ticket.
He gets those lottery tickets attached with a proven commodity

Why is math and counting so difficult for you? The Bears were 12-4 last year; Cowboys 10-6. The Browns were EVERYBODY's trendy 2019 pick.

    Browns 2-4, Bears 3-3, Cowgirls 4-3

I’m sure you need some help with comprehension. But those teams are not good and haven’t been good consistently in a long time.

Listening to you, every player the Texans have brought in are future HOFs and every player they've let go are homeless bums

And where did I say any of that? Stop making **** up. Saying someone is not worth $125 million, isn't saying they suck. Saying someone has the potential to develop, is not saying they are a HOF. Only O'Brien haters live in Absolutes. Everything he does is bad (According to you).

For the Texans and their fans sake, I hope a scheme change helps the kid. He has talent, man coverage should be a strength. If he turns out to be a serviceable starter a 3rd isn’t that bad to have given up. We’ll see
