Philly wanted to give up less than Seattle did. Now, there articles saying they should have traded for Clowney.

    https://section215.com/2019/10/14/philadelphia-eagles-clowney-ghost/

They didn't want to give up assets and pay Clowney next season.

No one like the trade, but we understand why it was done. As it turns out, it seems to have been the right move.

    Why was it done?

The defense is worse, so I don't think it's the right move. It's an average defense this year

Just end it right there, but then u proceed to say

"As it turns out, it seems to have been the right move", what's the point of going back to defending/justifying this sht trade. What bias metrics are u using to even justify that this trade was a win for us?

It was an awful trade, awful timing, weakens our defense, and it could have all been solved IF THEY DONE IT NOT AT THE VERY LAST MIN. Jury still out that if it's the "right move".

I don't get u honestly, BoB isn't perfect this is one such example.

My only point was to show the poster I responded to we do know what Clowney wanted and that was to be traded to a team capable of winning.

Keep whining. What you do best. It was the move that he wanted done.......and it was done. Doesn't matter if u like it or not (or if I like it or not).

Defensive pass rush is actually better than it was. Run defense is SLIGHTLY down. Pass coverage issue is a personal issue, but we knew that (with an older JJo. and younger CBs as backups).

Texans are on pace for more sacks this year. You are getting production from more players.

Doesn’t mean trading Clowney for a bag of chips was smart

One traditional box score stat is not a good measure

You are right because we know Clowney has never measured up in that box score stat.

Not as elite, but still good with 9.5 sacks

Texans went from top 6 in hurry % last year to bottom 5, and that's even with blitzing more to make up for it
