This might be for the older crowd, but we should all watch our sodium intake. I recently was told I'm between Hypertension & HBP, so I've been a tad more mindful; don't eat fast food nearly at all, unless something new comes out or I'm missing something. (I don't consider Beck's Prime or a Restaurant Burger fast food) I still use kosher salt for cooking.

But I'll be damned if Mrs. Dash is actually a better topping than salt for just about anything. Really is worth grabbing a bottle in the spice aisle to try out if you've never done so or, to our younger posters, even heard of it.

I'm sure I've had fish sauce before. I prefer Worcestershire, which is British Fish Sauce.

Every spice should be bought at bulk prices. Its just such a rip off for the little bottle and containers.

Not really. Spices have shelf lives and fresh spices taste better. Buy as much as you’d typically use and restock as needed before they go bad.

No idea what mrs.Dash is, just came by to say that it might be hard but everything can be replaced.

I've been diagnosed with a very hard hypertension since I was 12(genetic disorder) and it's been a struggle at first, especially growing up in Belgium around all those fries and beer.

Just don't over do it and stop eating
    sodium all at once.

Have you heard it called salt free 17? I’ve had it in tuna salad.

Didn't have anything else in the house so used this on some pork tenderloins and chicken breast out on the pit...came out perfect.

Why on earth would I need to google fish sauce? I'm well aware of what it is, and the differences between Viet and Thai varieties, because, you know, I've eaten Vietnamese and Thai food in Houston and elsewhere for my entire life.

Calling Lea & Perrins "British Fish Sauce" (anchovies are about the 6th or 8th ingredient, btw) is akin to calling anchovy paste "Italian Fish Sauce". Nobody does this, because it's ludicrous. But you're the food reviewing expert so I'll just defer to your knowledge. But you should probably google "fish sauce" first.

    Kid.
