David Ortiz calls himself a Red Sock, while salivating over the Spankees.

The Yankees have figured out how to consistently make Yordan look terrible. It’s up to him and his coaches to figure out a different approach.

Not shocked Hinch is sticking with Yordan. If it was any other young player he would be benched by now though. Yordan looks helpless against lefties right now.

He seldom tells the truth so I would not expect him to show up. It would be sweet to finish the Yankees off with him there to have to sit through it.

He's gotta not be in the lineup tomorrow. He's not showing any combination of traits that point to him eventually getting that big hit. And we don't need big hits. We need ANY hits. I was a huge fan during the regular season, but we're trying to win in the playoffs here.

Pitchers have him figured out, and he hasn't adjusted to laying off those pitches. His eye has gotten worse than it was in the regular season. His swing cannot be adjusted once its started, so his pitch selection is crucial, and he's getting eaten alive. With his open stance, he has got to get closer to the plate to even have a chance of covering that outside corner, and that is not happening.

He's young and inexperienced, and, yeah, this is too much for him. He's clearly annoyed and down on himself as well because of his performance. That alone is death to good at-bats. Potential power hitting for low average is not worth more than the ability to get any hits at important times. Not with these stakes.

The only thing that's wrong with him is that he's young and showing it. I don't fault him for that Regardless, he's a big liability at a time where we just can't afford it. Put in Diaz.

Why didn’t we just do JV and GC at home and do this game as our bullpen game? I don’t get it.

Have the Yankees seen Urquidy or peacock this series? Wouldn’t that be awesome if they gave us a two run six inning performance?

Unless of course we can only crap one run

He will get a pass If this is just him popping his big light fright cherry and from now on is a beast in the postseason.

Of course it doesn’t help that the guys around him can’t do anything

They haven't seen Urquidy, would be his first time pitching this series. That could work against us too but he has to go.

Hopefully the Stros knock around their pitching tomorrow regardless.

Yankees two 1st inning HRs was the franchise's first occurrence.

    Astros offense sucked.

Win tomorrow and it's all good enough.

Confident that Astros win the game 6 at home.

You don’t pass on one of the best pitchers in baseball, on full rest, to save him for a potential game 6 when you have the opportunity to close it out in game 5. That is just never ever the right call. Hinch made the correct move.
