That would be a nice compromise; play each NL team at least 4 times and every team every year, like how the NBA plays every team in the conference twice each season (one home one away) and play half as many games as a Baseball season. None of this play a different set of teams that rotates every 4 seasons BS like in the NFL (they play way less games so I guess I understand but why in baseball?)

    Nope.

Outside of going to Milwaukee and pissing on Bud Selig's grave, there's no reason to think about the NL.

Nope. I was pretty pissed when we were forced over to the AL. Wouldn’t change a thing now.

I used to like the double switch, small ball
with the thought of the pitcher hitting. WTH was I thinking?

I like this brand of baseball and think the NL should adopt the DH as well.

Only thing I don’t like are west coast late games.

It would also stop a bunch of those pesky west coast start times

so much easier to tune in when the majority of games, home and away start before 9 pm

I believe it's around a dozen games that start late with the move to the AL as opposed to before.

One thing I like about the late starts is that I can watch unencumbered after the wife and kids go to bed.

Was originally against the move but came around to it when I changed my mind on the DH. Now having a chance to knock out the Yankees in the playoffs for the 3rd time in our short AL history makes our move to the AL even sweater. But if they want to realign the AL divisions so we don't have to travel so much to the west coast, I'm all for that.

I hated the move at the time it was made...now I think it's been great for the Astros.

If Carlos Lee could play OF I think Alvarez can once he gets some work in the off-season.

When the NL eventually gets the DH, are the divisions going to be realigned to better fit regions?

I've said it before, but I wish there was a way to get a balanced schedule. I don't know if it's mathematically possible without changing the number of games in a season drastically.

It really has, and many are losing site of that.

The Astros now own the AL West. They own the rivalry with the Rangers. They are pretty much staking a claim to owning the rivalry with the Yankees and deed rights to Yankee Stadium, on the cusp of eliminating them from the playoffs for the 3rd time in the last 5 years.

As many don't like to hear it, and nostalgia is a powerful drug... they were simply just a run-of-the-mill NL franchise. Not old enough to be historic. Not successful enough to be transcendent. No regional rivalry. No historic rivalry. No reciprocal rivalry. The suffering was real, but still nowhere near a Cubs/pre-2004 Red Sox/Indians level.

Granted, current success playing a huge role in making this palatable.

Bring in the DH in both leagues and it doesn’t really make a difference to me.

Hell, the Nationals have a better DH than many of this year's AL playoff teams in Kendrick.
