Grienke is such a disappointment. He is not the Ace they thought he was. That could have been a five or six run inning. Very lucky to get out of it with just one run.
Uh, yeah, he is. Lucky as hell to get out of that. 25 pitches, walked in a run, walked three. That’s not bad? Yankees left the bases juiced. That’s lucky numbnuts.
Is there a site on the internet that tracks ump calls vs. actual calls? Would be interesting to see how this develops through this game.
Come on, Greinke. Settle down. We really need you to settle down. Come back out in the second and pitch like you're capable of pitching. Forget about the pressure. The ump wasn't making bad calls. Maybe one of those balls was close enough to get the strike call.
We didn't need Greinke to win a division, he was brought in for what he provides to our playoff rotation and here we have bullpen action in the 1st inning after 1 bad start and 1 "just ok" start in the playoffs.
Exactly. It's like everyone on this board forgot that Greinke is no longer a power pitcher. He has live on the corners, and hope for swings and a few Ump helpful calls, or he will live dangerously. If anything, missing a bit low and wide is a whole lot better than missing up, which is what happened in his last 2 starts.
Gonna be one of those games where little to nothing goes our way, we just have to keep it close and strike when we can.
