Fox Sports doesn't have the Disney umbrella to worry about

Chris Broussard saying LeBron was wrong, that means LeBron is 100% wrong

How about you stand for both? Is there a limit to your empathy? Your quota is filled with america and you have nothing to spare for people being killed in concetration camps?

Says the guy without a college degree to an MIT grad... Morey wasn't thinking about your brand when he tweeted, all apologies...

I think most people who are educated and in tune with what's going on in this world realize LeBron's a moron/egotistical sell out. However, Morey deleting the tweet has kind of gotten lost in the whole ordeal as well - Morey is just as much of a sell out as LeBron, maybe even a bigger one.

Everyone knows Tillman forced him to delete that tweet and he had an opportunity to take a stand and tell Tillman to go f*** himself. Morey has also made millions of dollars, he could survive not being a GM in the NBA. Honestly, if we would have been smart about it, he would have realized not deleting the tweet AND taking a stand and exposing the NBA would have been the most beneficial move for his future career as well. Instead, he is basically living on borrowed time as a NBA GM - if the Rockets don't win it all next year, Tillman will 100% can him and by that time this whole thing will have blown over so no one will care and it'll be easy to hide behind the excuse that "we haven't been able to win it all and we need a change to reach the next level."

I dun think that China has full grip control of the HK police force, there might even be full rogue police squads wandering about.

I have to research more though.

I mean China can at least look into those corrupt cops but it cannot with civil war like violence still going on.

    LeB!tch
    LeCoward
    LeHypocrite
    LeFraud.
    LeTrick
    LeFlop.

He's been a voice for social justice in the past when he didn't have any skin in the game , now that it could potentially cost him money , screw human rights ….

Never really been a Kaepernick fan …. but you have to give that guy his due , he put his entire career on the line for what he believed in.

Never like Lebron …. this seals the deal.

You do realize that our geographical location is where it is BECAUSE people were fleeing from oppressive regimes, right? Our political environment was also a direct result of these actions.

If politics and location were all that mattered, the US would still be an undeveloped third world country of native Americans, and literally THE only difference was a small set of revolutionary ideas held by a small percentage of the population.

The only difference between the early US and Hong Kong is that China makes Imperialist Britain look like the Empire of Peace, and freedom of ideas was slightly more tolerated, due to the Magna Carta and Cromwell limiting the powers of the King.

If China’s people pulled a proletariat style England uprising and limited their dictatorships power, Hong Kong would very likely be on a path similar to the US. Then again, so would the rest of China, as Hong Kong would still want to be part of it.

You’re ignoring all unrealized outcomes in your evaluation, effectively using hindsight to justify why you believe the US evolved the way it did. That’s not the way history works.

LeBron is absolute trash excuse of a human being. I guess what it takes to get rich is to let go of morality and values. This man would LITERALLY support taking away the rights of millions of people (not even mentioning putting muslims into concentration camps) as long as he can sell his ****ing shoes. Honestly, he can **** himself with his damn shoe. **** him.

calling Morey a bigger sellout than Lebron is going way too far, but people are acting like Morey also doesn’t want to continue to get paid and keep his job...if he knew that tweet would’ve caused all of this, he never would’ve done it

he deleted that tweet very quickly, issued some statement, and ain’t been seen or heard from since

My point being that America is THE great defender of democracy and freedom in the world today.

Let's suppose America were to no longer exist, or WORSE, become a caliphate.
Who are these 'many' other countries that would carry the torch of freedom and be
able to stand up to aggressive Communist or caliphate countries that want to subdue the world?
What other countries are there that could stand up to China, Soviet Union, Iraq, Syria (the Arab world)?

Yup. He tried to calm the situation by deleting the tweet and posting the forced apology...if he truly believed in the cause, he should have continued the fight. everyone is trying to have it both ways.

Morey is full of sh#@ too. He has fu money at this point. If he believed in his cause no need to delete the tweet.

He may not be as full of sh@# as LeBron, but let's not pretend like none of these people dont care about money.

Whether you believe in kaeps message, you have to respect that he was willing to throw away his career for what he believed in.

Lebron getting destroyed by the mob for what? Saying freedom of speech has consequences? I think it’s been demonstrated to be very true in this case.

Daryl morey exercised his freedom of speech and got china threatening a ban.

Lebron excercised his freedom of speech and got people burning his jerseys.

Lol at the people who put an mit degree on a pedestal. So your opinion is only valid if you have an Ivy League/MIT degree?

How many of you clutchfan members got an Ivy League degree? Maybe your opinion doesn’t mean **** either.

Everyone is selfish.....should not be used as a derogatory statement addressing business people.

My problem with Lebron is not that he is not willing to support the HK protests or say no to chinese money...
it's his entitled holier than thou attitude.

He should have kept his mouth shut and let it cool down instead of restarting things by calling his fellow employee uneducated and complained about how his team had a difficult time in china while millions are suffering all sorts of injustice. That makes HIM uneducated. Take 5 mins to read the cruelty that's happening in china and then tell me how difficult your week was. Oh boo hoo you couldn't leave your hotel...give me a break.

At the end of the day he wants to be a billionaire...he has said that and without the chinese market..he can't do it.

Not gonna lie. I was hoping for LBJ to help out Morey and he really did. He made himself look like a communist tool and turned Morey into a real American.

Now all the LBJ defenders are just trying to squeeze in the race card to help soften the narrative.

It was all calculated and it got the job done so no need to take it further. In fact it's the ultimate "winning" position to push your narrative without any direct personal consequences. If you disagree then you must think you're smarter than Morey, I don't.
