The weather appears fine for today, but Wednesday has a 100% chance of rain according to the Weather Channel. I have a positive feeling about today for whatever that is worth (usually nothing). I think the hitters are going to show up today and we know about Cole.
Stanton out today and a bit of a lineup shakeup, no word on their future plans (player can be replaced for injury during a series but then he is not eligible to play in the next series):
Crap, it's a day game...that overlaps with the end of the day at work. What a horrible night time to have a curse game.
Temperature looks to be lower 60s around gametime. I know the Yankees have more experience playing in chillier conditions, but I think they're going to be Cole'd.
Glad to see Altuve and Gurriel moved up and Brantley and Alvarez moved down a bit. But Correa still being at 7th feels off to me. I would have moved him up to at least 5th.
Good to see Altuve back behind Springer in the lineup. Moving Yuli ahead of Yordan is a good idea too.
I don't like the weather forecast. Cole's locked in and this can only help the Yankees. That said, I also think the floodgates open as we get to Severino early on...getting into that pen again. La Machine rolls in the Bronx.
I think Correa protecting Yordan serves the overall team better. Correa is hitting, and Yordan is badly struggling but has such massive potential. If Correa's heat can help get Yordan going...we'll be in business.
