I just hope they buy him out even if he ends up somewhere else before our front office is able to assemble enough trade assets to make a move. I think he will be a largely insignificant player for all but maybe 1 playoff game this season. It would be a catastrophe to make him our last trade for a year. It would be neat if we signed him for the minimum. I would give 0 f*cks if he joined anyone other than the Clippers.

Believe it or not... I was told by Vince Carter a month ago that Iggy plans on retiring NOW before Vince does. He also said he was very close to signing with us until we delayed the proceedings to pursue Iggy.

 

ESPN: Andre Iguodala Expected To Pick Between Lakers, Clippers If Bought Out

Andre Igudoala remains away from the Memphis Grizzlies as they pursue trade scenarios involving him. Igoudala is expected to end up with the Los Angeles Lakers or Los Angeles Clippers if he becomes a free agent.

"It's the two L.A. teams," said Adrian Wojnarowski. "It's the Lakers and it's the Clippers. If there is a buyout at some point. If Memphis can't trade him, it will come down to those two teams."

Wojnarowski adds Iguodala is comfortable sitting out the early part of the season at his age.

Rockets will be pretty much incapable of scoring against the Clippers if he goes LAC, and he fills pretty much the most glaring hole the Lakers has if he goes LAL.

Oh well. Congrats to them. They are the favorites for a reason.

Rockets were never going to get Iggy as a buyout. In fact ALL buyout guys will look to BOTH LA teams FIRST.

Rockets will *not have their pick of the buyouts* (@J.R.).

If the Rockets want to make additions it will have to be done by strategic TRADES.

Give up the pick and take on Iggy / Crowder for Nene / Shump

I really wish the Rockets could swing a deal for Jae Crowder, perhaps for Shumpert . It’s pretty clear Shumpert isn’t playing for the Rockets

Re-signed Shumpert & Hartenstein/Clark for Crowder in January. Crowder is a solid 3&D type, as good as Iggy and nearly 6 years younger.
