CBA needs someone who can score 40 points per nite, he cannot make it in CBA not mention players are dirty and u need be very strong to survive

Ryan Anderson carving out role at center with Rockets

Though Ryan Anderson did show off a few drives off the dribble at the Rockets’ annual open practice on Monday, he generally does the same things he always has. His value is never far removed from his shooting range.

He can, however, be described differently than in his previous two seasons with the Rockets or the previous 11 seasons of his NBA career.

In his second tour with the Rockets, he might be most accurately called “Center Ryan Anderson.”

“I think so,” Anderson said. “It’s definitely a role we talked about here. I think it’s something I can be really effective at. This team can play in a lot of different ways. I think center could be a good title now.

“Obviously depending on matchups and the way teams play, some teams may want to go big and that could change the lineup around where I might play the four. This is just the way the league is now where a lot of teams go small. It could be a different dynamic with me playing at the five.”

Tyson Chandler is generally the Rockets’ backup center, but Anderson’s preseason playing time has often come as another center where his shooting can create space for the second unit, and particularly for Russell Westbrook off the dribble.

“I think we can look at that,” Mike D’Antoni said of using Anderson’s range shooting at center. “Tyson probably some back-to-backs won’t play. So there’s some (playing time) there. Some we just want to go small, although he is big (at 6-10). But you go small with five out. We’ll look at that.”

Can’t justify carrying 5 centers in this day and age , 6 if you count PJ lol .

I don’t think Ryno has enough on D to make the squad , but maybe his shooting puts him ahead , this is MDA we are taking about after all.
