BOB is an avg HC no better than any HC who's been here since their inception.

Bill is terrible. We should take a flyer on Kellen Moore or Byron Leftwich in the offseason. This team needs new blood at the coaching position.

Hmm....one game? Let's wait til the end of the season, shall we?

BoB knows he ****ed up with that trick play.

I will wait to see what happens.

Y create this thread then if u want everyone to wait until the end of the season? U surely didn't wait until the end of the season to push your BoB bias thoughts onto everyone else. Telling everyone to eat Crow, PFFFt.

There is a reason everyone questions his competency and it is definitely not based off of this one game. I would say this thread is more knee-jerk based on one OK performance on the road.

A better GM than a OC.

How about letting your QB audible out of dumb plays when he sees the defense is playing it. I can't remember the last time a HOU QB changed the play at the LOS.

Can you imagine BoB if DW4 audibled a play he called? And if the play didn’t go well? Worth doing just to watch his reaction.

I've seen this asked several times; it's actually been rather plainly addressed on multiple fronts.

Watson talked about it in his press conference; said they saw something on tape (I'm guessing an overreaction to a WR screen?) that they thought they could exploit. Riveria then said he saw something on the Texans' tape from last year* and coached his guys to look for it.

It was an indefensibly bad decision for a lot of reasons - but it wasn't something they randomly saw during the course of the game. They watched film, saw a weakness and tried to exploit it. It failed spectacularly.

    * Does anyone remember them calling this previously? I do not and it makes me wonder...... well, does it seem mighty convenient that Riveria expected a fairly unexpected play unless...........

Hopkins has an 0-1 passing stat line against the Bills last year so must have been that game

It was a play we thought that we’d seen on film the corner was going to run with the tight end across.
During the play, I threw to Hop and I peeked and the corner didn’t move. At that time, I tried to wave my hand, but Hop was looking over there.
He didn’t see the corner, lobbed it, and you live by the sword, you die by the sword. That’s what we did in that situation. Give them credit for staying disciplined and not running with it. - Watson

The CB said after the game he didn't leave his zone and that Rivera told them during the week that "10" and "12" have thrown passes before so be on alert.
