A's might challenge the Astros 36 runs in 2 games

That's what I'm waiting to see. We embarrassed them yesterday. They're taking it out on us today. Are the Astros going to come out with some counter fire tomorrow? One might argue that everyone's even now, let's be friendly competitors again, clean slate, don't do anything stupid, etc. But the A's aren't going to treat it that way. They'll do this again if allowed. If it's a bullpen day, the pen's going to need some help, and the bats need to come out and give it to them and regain some pride for the team.

True, but we took most of our starters our after the 5th. Wasn't our fault they couldn't score.and catch up.

Detroit winning makes this all much more digestible.

    Love watching Mengden pitch.

Is he still rocking a proper 'stache? (eta: yes, he is)

Can the Astros borrow Deshaun Watson for the comeback?

I’m going to kick myself in the morning when I wake up and we came back to win it but I’m out. Lates!

Well... maybe Miley will be an Astro next year.

His era was WAY below his FIP for a long time. Even if he is a FIP buster the difference was too much.

2 straight 7-run first innings...I'd same something is definitely wrong.

Hope so. He's a great 4th starter as it stands. Had some stupid bad luck tonight, pitched better to begin with than he had in his last 2 starts.

Unfortunately you can't count on him in the Postseason to pitch out of the pen because how could you ever trust him to throw strikes? Unless it's a 1 or 2-off appearance, and even then it would be a 'last resort' kind of thing.

Yeah in post season he either starts as a 4th starter or he only comes into a game when you are hoping for lightning in a bottle.
