    Lots of even numbers tonight.

    Bregman: 100 RBIs, 100 BBs
    Verlander: 200 IP

    Verlander's league-leading WHIP and ERA went down.

    Now that I'm back home, let's list the pitching categories JV is destroying:

    Wins = 18 (MLB leader)
    ERA = 2.52 (AL leader, 2nd in MLB)
    Innings pitched = 200.0 (MLB leader)
    Batting average against = 0.166 (MLB leader by .29 pts ahead of Gerrit Cole; only those two are sub .200)
    WHIP = 0.77...ish (MLB leader by .18 pts ahead of Gerrit Cole; only those two are sub 1.00; 0.77 WHIP is currently either second or third best single season WHIP in MLB history)
    Strikeouts = 264 (2nd in MLB; 2 Ks behind Gerrit Cole; the next closest has more than 30 fewer Ks)
    HRs allowed = 33 (only 4th highest now!)

    And JV should easily have had at least two more wins

    Also takes JV to 2,970 K's in his career (to go along with 222 career wins)! Probably won't get to 3,000 this season anymore, unless he gets 10 K's per start over his last three scheduled starts (assuming he doesn't skip any starts).

    300 career wins is going to be much tougher. Assuming he gets 3 more wins this year to finish at 225 for his career, he'd need to average 15 wins a season for the next 5 years! That would mean he pitched for 20 years overall and would be 41 years old. "Justin" amazing career!

    Take Hamilton to Commerce, turn right. drive until you find a street parking spot. Stop for BBQ and Mac and Cheese at Jackson Street BBQ if hungry on walk to stadium from car.
