    Funny o_O

Reports that Texans wanted to trade Clowney seems to lead back to BOB...being that he was the one that didn’t want to extend him.

"No idea" well that's something you always want to hear from your fake GM.

And that is the right call....we can not invest 200 million in the defensive line best thing for the team is to just move clowney. I wish it could of worked out better but.....

Is that a serious question? That’s just not how you build a team. That would be crazy to just invest that many resources into one position of the team.

    Yes. Serious question. Here's why.

    1. You have the cap space.
    2. Your QB is on a rookie deal so now is the time.
    3. You can front-load Clowney's deal
    4. JJ Watt is off the book in two years so you can even back-load it.
    5. They really really really need the pass rush.

Great Quote from AP on Trent Williams/Haskins that relates to Deshaun.

"Since Day 1 of camp you notice his absence is impacting us tremendously," running back Adrian Peterson told ESPN's Josina Anderson. "You go from not having to worry about the blind side at all, to having to chip on that side, add a TE there which changes what you do. I think it's making Dwayne Haskins have to think more, not process things as calmly. Matter of fact, I think it's impacting all of our QBs. Guys are coming off the edge in practice right there on the QB & the RB. It's been a struggle."

Trade Clowney for a Left Tackle.

Watson is getting his extension at the end of this year.

Its just not smart to pay that much to the defensive line when at times the pass rush is non existent even with Clowney and Watt.

How upset would you be when when we invest 200 million to two guys who play the same position and both have games with little to production?

And trust me their are plenty of times where that has happened. Take the playoff loss to the colts for example Watt and Clowney where completely taking out of the game.

Even if Watson is getting his extension this year, it won't kick in till 21 or 22.

You know what's not smart, to have even less pass rush with the broken down secondary they're having to deal with now. Would have been better if they were paying a CB but they're not so they need as much pass rush as they can get. The fact you can neutralize Watt is more reason why you also want Clowney. What they could have done was draft (or trade for) someone that could generate substantial pass rush outside of Watt. But they really wanted that 3rd tight end so here we are. Offenses are going to have a field day with no Clowney and your best CB is old man Joseph (yes he's still better than Roby).

Move Clowney! Do it. It is right thing to do. Bring in a LT. So obvious!

Must be something if McClain is changing his tune.

I don't know, ever since Rick Smith left McClain has had some good sources within the Texans. Though they're probably just using him as a mouthpiece.
