Yes very disappointing. He showed up for the year before though against way better centers than looney. Doesn’t make sense

It wouldn’t surprise me if they were but let’s talk about after they’ve played some games together.

Let’s see the lifetime of friendship become real comraderie and chemistry on the court. Unless CC added a shot, he is who he is- a very good center. Thinking that Harden could put up bigger numbers strains reason, if they are going well I think his usage goes down a real step but himself efficiency might see crazier peaks. A 40/50/90 season seems reachable with RW here to carry the yoke. Westbrook’s usage has to drop too but he might see even crazier assist numbers in a system that will heavily rely on his drive/kick game.

There are only 5 teams that have 4 players on their roster that score 16+ PPG...

    Rockets
    (Westrook, Harden, Gordon, Capela)
    Lakers
    (Bron, Kuzma, Davis, Cousins)
    Jazz
    (Conley, Mitchell, Bojan, Gobert)
    Clippers
    (Lou, George, Leonard, Harrell)
    Sixers
    (Simmons, Richardson, Harris, Joel)

    These are the contenders.

I think what most ppl don't see is the unpredictability of Westbrook with the ball. He's gonna open up dimensions Chris Paul couldn't. Chris Paul while great, mainly had to dribble several times then make a move late in the shotclock. Westbrook attacks earlier in the offense better than anybody. That'll change our whole dynamic because now the defense can't set with Westbrook coming full speed

why would Orlando do any of the things they do? I think they'd make a dumb move if they thought it would help them get back to the playoffs.

are you saying Aaron Gordon is at the same level as the most hyped #1 pick since Lebron?

All the flack on Clint is mostly misplaced. It should be on MDA's system for having Clint switch every possession. We were at our best when Clint was not playing perimeter defense, which should be obvious. Looney benefited directly from this.

I’m not including Capela in a “Big 3” until he’s able to consistently make an offensive move in the paint and hit a short jumper consistently. Nene was a better player last post season imho, he was just old.

I would call it a big 4. Eric Gordon is a better basketball player than Clint Capela at this point in their careers.

He’s good against some guys. Heavy guys like cousins and embiid will give him problems

I like Clint but he needs to play bigger to be in the big three.

Stronger hands and sturdier legs to battle tougher Draymond types who lock him down for the lob or board

I'd be willing to move EG for AG …. cause EG's expiring and I'd hate to lose him for nothing.

But when you start throwing Tucker in the mix , count me out.

As for what it takes contract wise - $14,797,727 is the minimum amount to match AG's $19,863,636.
EG accounts for $14,057,730. Just need to throw in a minimum ….

Jazz top 3 looks pretty solid at least on the defensive end. Portland with Nurkic back looks damn good too. Purely by numbers I think this article is spot on. Going to be an exciting season. No single team has a clear advantage for the title if all are healthy in the playoffs.

EGo did outplay Capela in last year's postseason.

Rebounding is big but Ego's shooting makes more difference given this philosophy.

They will look for Capela more but IMO Westbrook should feed Gordon and Tucker.
