Wow, this is depressing to hear. Hopefully Morey makes the most of this and goes all out now. We needed shooters before this trade and now we need shooters even more. Please find some shooters than can somehow play defense. Any news on other targets?

 

Good. You switched essentially the same contracts to a player 4 years younger and with the ability to take the playmaking pressure off of JH.

Glad Tillman got it done!

 

Maybe because Morey knows (or will refuse to accept) that he needs to change Moreyball. We don't need to see a 29% three point shooter jack up 10-15 3's a night.

 

I had a feeling something like this was the case. Tillman seems to want to create splashes and have buzz around the team, where Morey has typically been more patient and calculated. And I know Morey loves CP3's game.

I hope this works. I fear that things like this will eventually push Morey out the door.

(I don't hate the trade, it just doesn't feel like a Morey move to me especially with the picks we had to include)

I suspected as much, but hearing it is concerning. I was hoping Morey's analytics knew something I didn't. Tillman should just fire Morey and be the GM himself. Kings are a great example on how well that works. I really miss Les.

Le$ used to push Morey to make certain moves as well. This is normal.

 

Im not a huge Tillman fan...but he has balls and we need it here. Really going to put pressure on coaching to play faster, a little more ball movement, shoot some 2s and hopefully not just stand around and shoot contested 3s. I'm going to love the OKC fans reactions when they see Harden and Westbrook hold up the trophy this year!

I 100% believe that. The most unMorey trade he's ever done.

I'm not against it. I believe if you don't make the trade Harden would ask out next summer and Tilman wouldn't let that happen.

Even if it's a trainwreck Russ has more value than CP3 and to me it's sink or swim time for this core. If they fail then we still have our picks for the next two summers.

 

Don't be mad at Morey when he leaves sometime in the near future. This is what bad ownership does.

 

But yet HOF like @vlaurelio will continue to blame Morey for everything while Harden gets excused

Let's not forget, Harden has got whatever he has wanted in this franchise.

Want Bobby Brown? Sure, Want Faried? Sure. Want Ty Lawson Sure. Want Howard / Cp3 gone? Sure

Want to play your style with no repercussions? Sure
Want to play no D? Sure we will find excuses
Want GM to battle for oyu on twitter and defend your case? Sure

Like I said, in no other frnachise is he going to get all this power and that is why Harden leaving during his peak should be least of Rockets concerns
