    I don't think the Rockets can give him a 5 year max, even in a sign and trade.

    well the only team that can give him 5 years is Philly...the Rockets will give him a 4 year max with no hesitation...the most we can pay him is 4/140

    A random curiosity i just realized, Harden still has 4 years left on his contract, if Butler gets traded here with his 4 year max he would expire just on par with James.

    If it came down to Philly having to cooperate or work out a sign and trade with either Miami and Houston and the proposed packages are somewhat similar.... I would find it hard to believe that Philly would send him to A conference rival in Miami rather than Houston. I understand he may be using the LA teams as leverage but he does have a meeting scheduled with Houston. Just seems like they could easily tell jimmy a sign and trade to an eastern conference team is a no go.

    You'd think that but I wouldn't be surprised if they'd rather deal him to Miami because that's just the Rockets luck in these situations.

    Thought Jimmy was trying to win? Why would he waste his prime on an under performing Heat team that's already almost one if the highest payrolls in the NBA?

    Don't really care until he actually signs tbh

    there is gonna be some dumb teams who will take Miami's bad contracts
    And somehow Philly will accept a poor offer from Miami and wer'e screwed

    And?? Pat Riley ****ed Wade out of a payday, and caused him to go to Chicago and Cleveland, yet NOBODY remembers that. Nobody gives a **** about how we treated Melo. If Melo was any good at all, we would have kept him.
