I thought there was some sleet hitting the window earlier but I couldn’t see anything, just hear. I just hope we don’t get a hard freeze because I don’t want want all the plants to die again
It's too ****ing cold. Got up from bed at 3pm and ordered some pizza hut. It's one of those paralyzing wasted boring days
Waiting for the bus and it feels like it’s in the high 60’s. Honestly can’t remember the last time we had four days in June with lows in the 60’s. My balls are doing just fine.
yesterday felt good...the heat the 2 previous days was annoying AF tho I was in London about a week ago, and their summer weather felt amazing...too bad you’ll never catch me there during the winter
It hit 69 this morning at IAH; 72 at Hobby. It'll be sunny with a high around 89/90 and a dew point near 55. Kick your kids out of the house the next two days.
Not sure if anyone saw what happened from Onalaska through Mississippi yesterday. A single cell traveled across 3 or so states dropping down tornadoes all along the way. Three people died and 30 injured in Onalaska (near Livingston). The pictures coming out are sad.
Yeah I'm not too far from Onalaska and when that storm hit hail the size of baseballs started hitting everywhere. Loud bangs all over the house and every north facing window shattered within seconds of the initial pounding of hail. I was up and ready for battle before the glass hit the floor. It freaked me out. I lost power, internet, water and cell service so no information. Had a small thought of what just went through. The next day was so pretty and peaceful I started cleaning and cutting up the limbs around the house. I even threw a couple of racks of ribs on the pit. Later I decided to drive to Onalaska, I don't even remember what I was going after. On the way every thing seemed normal, an Oak tree down here and there with branches thrown around. Then as I come around a curve with some views of the lake I see no more tree tops, just trunks. Houses were no longer standing. Neighborhoods looked like they were just flipped upside down. I saw what I assume is a small family sitting on a piece of wood that was their home while a man (father) was looking through the rubble for whatever he could find. I got chills and my eyes started leaking as I learned of what had actually happened. I can't even imagine what they must be feeling.
Glad to hear you’re OK. Really feel bad for those people who have been hit this storm system. To have to deal with losing loved ones and property on top of everything else must be very hard.
Always slightly frustrating to have nice weather all week when you’re stuck working and then for the storms to roll in right when Saturday rolls around.
Dunno where y'all are located, but there was one particular thunderclap that was really, really loud. One of the loudest I've ever heard.
