    Not happy??

    He should be fuming.

They screwed him over after he took yearly paycuts lol.

No one would blame him a bit even if he publicly starts roasting that club.

Cmon Durant, you finally have a good reason to go ape **** on twitter.

Durant is an adult and made the decision to play, remember to the whole Spurs situation with Kawhi ?

Kawhi knows his body best and even though he was medically cleared he chose not to come back because he knew his body wasn't right.

I'm going to bet that if given the chance, ANY AND EVERY TEAM in the NBA would sign Durant with his Achilles injury.

Being overused or playing on it while there was structural damage to that tendon in question was likely the issue here. Playing basketball was ultimately the reason why Durant's Achilles tendon was torn.

Seems like Durant should definitely resign and allow to the Warriors to trade him later in order to gain some assets out of him :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Who cares. But it can hardly count as ruining a career when we're talking about a 12-year vet. Cut his career short? Sure, that's a better way to put it.

This is what Durant needs to do this off-season:

Sign with the Rockets for vet. minimum.

Sue the Warriors for negligence for causing his injury and costing him max.

The Warriors didn't help but Kevin Durant caused Kevin Durant's injury. Unless we believe that he was too stupid to know that he wasn't 100%, we have to accept that he took a calculated risk (well maybe not calculated with all the pregame dancing and dunking) and crapped out.

There was immense pressure on him to play... GS and their sidekicks in media questioned Durant's unwillingness ...compared with Klay who supposedly was playing with injury...at that point KD had two options: not play and get injured or not play and get lebelled as betrayer, heartless etc.

I don't doubt that there was immense pressure. That's part of adulthood. Durant is a 30 year old man. He should have been strong enough to say no if he truly felt he wasn't ready.

Part of adulthood is also learning that doctors understand medicine better than you do, and trusting them.

If the team’s doctors wrongly labeled him as healthy, then they have broke the vow of their profession, and the team is complicit in that.

Look in boxing the boxer still wants to fight but its up to the trainer to throw in the towel right? The Boxer is an adult too but since its his job to fight he will fight till he gets brain damage, its up to the trainer to gauge the risks and decide when its to protect his athlete.

Its the same principle you can't expect KD to sit himself out qhen you got guys like Pierce sitting on a wheelchair rolling himself out to play. Its up to GSW to stop these players and just like with Cousins and with Klay they didnt give a **** about these players' health and wellbeing. Cousins and Klay also had season ending injuries no surprise the GSW doctors cleared them to play and no surprise klay aggravated his injury.

Remember when Bosh had blood clots and Miami told him you can't play? If it was GSW they would trot him out on the court and shrug their shoulders if he dies.

As for KD of course people will still sign him the max but his days as a top 3 NBA player are done. Most likely he loses his quickness and becomes injury prone moving forward. He's only 31 he is supposed to be at the top for at least 5 more years GSW just closed the window on his greatness and Im starting to feel bad for the dude he even took yearly paycuts for them and GSW repayed him with this.

Another part of adulthood is understanding that nobody knows better than you how you are feeling, regardless of years of medical study. There is a reason why patients are asked how they are feeling by doctors, PA's, NP's nurses etc. I agree that if the team told him he was 100% healthy and cleared when they knew he wasn't they are liable. I also believe that nobody told him he was 100% clear. I think Durant was nudged in the direction of playing while being told he wasn't 100%. I believe Durant knew for a fact that he wasn't 100%. I highly doubt his agents and inner circle simply trusted the team doctors. The most likely scenario, and yes I know it's not a sexy as a conspiracy theory, is that Durant knew he wasn't ready but decided to play anyway in an attempt to turn the tide of the series and rewrite his legacy.

It wasn't just the Warriors Drs who signed off on him playing. His OWN Dr signed off as well.

If KD wants to be pissed off at anyone how about look in the freaking mirror.
