Our defense was crap. We gave up way too many offensive rebounds and rebounds in general. House couldn’t hit a shot to save his life. Rivers tried to do too much on too many possessions. Faried defense was non existent. Capela was out of it. Apparently he was sick but he had basically zero impact tonight. Jazz made great adjustments to contain harden, Gobert has watched tape and denies the paint completely from harden (credit to Snyder too), and jazz got benefit on a lot of calls (refs allowed a lot of physicality for them and called too many touch fouls for us, especially early on). That said refs weren’t a big issue tonight even though it looked like it might be early on. Rockets energy simply wasn’t there. They gave up with 9 minutes left in the fourth. In game 3 we had some sick adjustments to have a guard cut for the open layup when harden drove and they rotated to Capela for the lob. That cut was so open from the wing and we did that a few times in game 3. I didn’t see it once tonight.
Playing in Utah which is 1 mile above us is gonna take a toll on the body. That's why we went pretty hard the first three games. They were gonna win one in Utah for sure. Harden is due for a big game.
Harden was fine tonight. He shot 50% from beyond the arc. This game was lost because our bench didn’t show up and they dominated inside while taking Capela out of the game with their physicality. They prevented almost all the lob passes and pushed us around in the paint
