Its time. Capela is killing us tonight. It's time to put someone in that can grab a damn rebound and keep Gobert in check.

Gobert is hurting us defensively not offensively so I'm not sure what's your end goal here.

    Heavy NeNe
He needs to simply lean on GoBert all game long
Gobert simply needs to have a big body put on him . . . ..
Clear a path for our guards.

    Make Gobert make a decision
Get the rebound or go after our guards

NeNe, Faried and HArtenstein should have given Clint the night off

Agreed. Clint was done after 1st quarter.

    Should have let him rest.

Capela is really sick, play Nene next game - he has one good one left.

You are not going to play Nene vs GSW. Why not use up Nene in game 5. He was damn good 2 years ago vs OKC in the playoffs. Maybe he can put all his energy into game 5 in backup C minutes and get the most out of him.

It is worth looking at, imo.

I thought about that. But then I wondered if it still would not be a good idea because of the defensive switching that is needed to combat GSW. So I am not sure.

true but nene did show he can still be pretty solid in spot minutes in that most recent meeting. But if Capela is still out of it by tomorrow, I agree Nene needs to be ready when called upon.

Has anyone in the media asked MDA why Nene wasn't out there? Especially after finding out that Clint's been horribly sick, I'd think that would be one of the top questions being asked.

Just look at the rebounding disparity from last night and it's clear we could've at least tried him for a few minutes.

But that game was excruciating and we were shooting ourselves in the foot when the refs weren't shooting us in the face.

So the game plan will be instead of lobs we doing bounce passes?

Yes . Or pick and pop . Or drop off and nene hits them with the hook shot .

Also , idk why anyone would be worried about offense . If we can't get a rebound we won't win regardless . Nene can box out favors and gobert . If he ends us switched onto the perimeter he can concede the jumper ... it's not the splash brothers we are playing here

Is NeNe just riding the pine through the play-offs? Seems odd to not even give him a try.

Start Capela tomorrow. If he's still feeling sick, put Nene in. Poor Capela literally looks like a zombie.

It’s not so much about stopping Gobert from scoring as it is being pushed around in the paint that allowed their guards to get clear paths to the basket for easy layups. Also, Nene is big enough to clear space when shriek drives the lane. Capela was easily pushed aside by Favors and Gobert making it hard for Harden to get to the basket without getting blocked.
