I think curry made a great explanation why Giannis can win the MVP: it's all about the narratives that are created early in the season, which the media has to constantly feed in the later half.
Curry's support of Harden: "There's a little more pressure," Steph Curry said. "You're not surprising anyone." In that, Curry gets to what may be driving the players' support of Harden: He has had the more extraordinary season because he has surprised everyone, rising above last year's MVP performance. For today, just today, I like Curry.
There's never been a moment I've disliked Curry. I honestly don't know how a fan of the NBA could. His wife has been a little annoying/entitled at times, but hey, he's got a nice solid home life, so I'll let that pass.
Not too difficult to see why: dislike of the Warriors dominance, jealousy over honors bestowed on him, that stupid mouthpiece.
it's the cockiness he has when he does little things here and there to egg on opponents and opposing fans. But I don't dislike Curry or Thompson. They're really good and for the most part just show out. Draymond though, is a whole different story. **** Draymond Also Harden will be 2x Players MVP champion!
I actually feel the same way, but naturally it's not a popular sentiment around here. There's no legitimate reason to hate him. You can dislike what he does to your team, though.
That image is reason he won the MVP in the first place. they like what he represents better than James
I was and am actually pretty neutral to him. However, I do feel he has been partially manufactured by the league and put on a pedestal.
Who Should Be: Harden (even without my bias) Who Will Be: Giannis ***Didn't realize TOR had a better record than GS, which somewhat negates the weak conference argument. If TOR finishes with a better record than any team in the West and MIL finishes with the top record in the League, Giannis should and will be the MVP.
Not true at all, Toronto having a better record than golden state only proves how weak the east is. Soo many scrubs teams to beat up to get wins.
Clearly the NBA trying to drive a narrative to get Giannis MVP. He shot 21 free throws. Milwaukee shot 43 compared to 19 for Philly.. hmm...
Lol nope. The talking heads will rave about his 45 points and 13 rebounds...as if Harden hasn't been doing this all season long.
Good game by Giannis for sure. Signature moment blocking Embiid. Going to be tough for Harden to get his MVP.
Was curious how big a difference the east vs west schedule was so I eliminated all the identical games and illustrated the schedule differences, then broke the teams into three categories (green = tough games (45+wins), yellow = competitive but not too tough (30+ wins), pink = cake (below 30 wins) Biggest difference here is that the east gives you 7 auto wins, when those 7 are tough games in the west. I really don't think that the team records here should be a factor at all.
