Again..people taking quotes out of context:

Reporter: you got a couple of all stars coming in this weekend, russell westbrook who had 10 straight tripple doubles, and James harden with 30, 30pt games..I am trying to understand from a players perspective which one you feel like is harder

Someone off camera tells MJ he doesn't have to answer?

MJ: That's fine, I knew it was going to get there eventually.
They are both hard. Uniquely it shows the talent we have in the league, it shows progression, I am very proud of what both guys have done because they are both making their mark on the league. Which is harder from a players standpoint? 6 championships by all means *laughter*

Now we can argue whether he added the last bit because he is insecure...or for fun..but at least post the whole quote.

I don't agree with that at all. It's a fallacious argument, having triple-doubles isn't the main goal in basketball. The main goal is to win a championship. I bet if Wilt, MJ and other great players only focused on getting triple-doubles, and not winning rings, they would do it much better than Westbrook.

Jordan doesn’t even really speak on these things. Just a joke from the GOAT. And with the rules of the 90s, it’s Bulls all day against the Warriors.

I thought all his responses were thoughtful and I appreciated that he praised the players and didn’t belittle today’s game as many former players do. The quote everyone is talking about was a joke made in passing.

He's not wrong. I'd take a championship over these cute regular season records any day. Hopefully, Harden will start showing everyone that he actually cares more about the postseason by preserving his energy towards the end.

yep truth is Morey / Rockets never built a championship capable team around harden

if harden traded places with steph he'd have at least 3 now. while the rockets still zero

Didn't listen. This is probably nothing more than some lighthearted trash talking. But his HOF speech was really salty against all those he felt had wronged him. MJ is not a gracious man, a great athlete with a stinky personality.

BTW, I don't deny that he is the GOAT. But ring-counting is the most overrated way of measuring individual greatness in a team sport.
