I don't think he will be perfect by any means. I'm hoping to be surprised like we were with Rivers. I thought that boy was going to be trash.

Faried is a highly productive player on the boards and in the PnR, so I think he will do a baseline decent job as a stop-gap big.

DMO gets no love. He was a good player. There weren't many 7 footers with his skill set/post moves. What happened doesnt mean Faried sucks. Plus DMO is left handed. Tough guard, that's why Faried isn't the only player he did this to.

He’ll help rebounding. That’s probably it though.

Seems like Rockets are in a close game most of the time. A rebound or 2 could turn a loss into a win.

If you guys seriously don't think he a better option to rebound and finish than Chriss and Gary Clark at the 5, I don't know what to say. What he can do when we get healthy doesn't really matter. It's not really arguable that he's gonna help us until Capela gets back at the least.

Faried is a bad fit for the league (poor defender who can't shoot), but we have maximum need for what he can do right now (rebound and finish), and he isn't gonna hurt our already terrible defense any more than our current options at the 5.

Hopefully he'll contribute offensively in the PNR and with energy.

Why does that even matter? You sound ridiculous. There are plenty players out of the league who didn't suck, and him not being in the league has nothing to do with his ability to play. His management ****ed up his opportunity to earn a big enough contract for it to make sense for him to continue to play in the NBA when he can make more overseas, and was probably black balled from the NBA. My point is, he can play, and was a valuable player for the Rockets. I don't understand where all the hate comes from. No one hated him until there were issues re-signing him.

Can he rebound? If so, yes.

Apparently Faried has been healthy the years he has disappeared from the league, The NBA just left him behind.

Oh yeah, I agree. No one in the league plays like the Rockets. I have no doubt Harden will maximize what Faried does best.

Look at Brooklyn: They have the Rockets offensive philosophy, but they don't maximize Allen as much as they should as a lob threat. They sometimes have Allen shooting 3's for goodness sake. Allen could(should) be as good as Capela. I have no doubt this is the reason Faried was left to languish on the bench; he doesn't fit the system.

So I think he'll be a big stop gap for us for the next month, BUT...

Don't judge him by tonight. Embiid couldn't be a worse matchup. Here before the bombardment of pissy reactionary posts that come tonight responding to Faried getting beat up by a fringey MVP candidate.
