I disagreed with his views, but am thankful for bringing football back to Houston. I was too young to watch the Oilers, and grew up solely watching the Texans.

    Thank you.

Maybe there was a little bit of a good man and a little "racist owner" in him. People dont always fit in the boxes society wants them to.

And it wasnt just the media. Some of the players thought so too.

Something wasn't right with him with all that weight loss. He was declared in remission from the CLL, but they never said what other kind of cancer he had. Pancakes says skin cancer, so one would assume he had a melanoma, if that's what did him in. Sad.

RIP. Thanks for bringing is football back. McNair brought the team back right when I was in my prime adolescent football years. I was 14 when they announced the team name, colors, logo, etc. and I've never looked back in my fandom.

Everyone knew he had been sick, but lots of people said he would live a lot longer due to his genes.

I don't think houston's midtown/downtown/ uptown scenery develops the way it did had we not gotten that superbowl bid for 2004. Since then all the futbol matches from across the globe that come here, final fours.

I'm going to miss this compadre. Allen, Kraft and Mcnair are/ were my favorite owners. Houston is the place, long live the red blazer!

McNair was misunderstood in recent years, especially for his "prisoners" comment. If anyone in the world was not a racist it was him. He has a history of loving all different peoples and he has given millions to minority causes. He was a wonderful family man and a devoted Christian. My condolences to the family.
