Easy to say this after a -47 night but I really felt like he lost his edge last season. Father time has caught up with him and I wasn't upset to see him go.

What this means is what we already know... that the Suns drastically overpaid and had unrealistic expectations for Ariza on a team that didn’t really need his real intangibles just yet. The Rockets need his defense or more important ... need someone new to step in to provide the glaring need for wing defense help. Ennis cannot guard the leagues best scorers and PJ cannot guard all 5 guys. Ariza was overrated as a defender in the regular season last year though... have to preface. But he was clutch in the playoffs. D’Antoni needs to change things up in a hurry if the defense doesn’t improve... and no, resigning a bought out Ariza later in the season won’t change that much.
i wouldn't... he was never a key player for us except perhaps with his intangibles..lets get us a 3/4 that can create slash and drive with ease and shoot well in playoffs
