That’s nice and all but by the time I posted in your thread the article had already been out for over two hours and people were still operating off of your then inaccurate headline. So your thread should have been locked because at that point it was fake news.

You wanted the thread attention seeker so now you are catching this flaming for failing to update.

Unless you are willing to attach a Lebron or KD on rookie contract to go along with Ryno, I know know anyone would be taking Ryno for Butler. No way at all

I am really looking forward to seeing what happens here. If Thibs is going to be stubborn and keep Butler for a while or if the owner, Glen Taylor, steps in and forces something.

If Butler isn't moved by Media Day on Monday, 9/24, it certainly will be interesting.

Either that or to OKC for a bag of chips.

On a scale of 1-10, how rancorous would @DreamShook be if Butler were traded to OKC? I predict 1000.

Attention seeker? Who cares about attention? Must be you. Sounds like you’re just mad that that thread is STILL getting more attention than yours. But obviously you’re an idiot that doesn’t have a clue so there’s no point in continuing this discussion.

Will be interesting indeed. Media day was the catalyst for the melo trade.

Jimmy Butler Trade Rumors: Tom Thibodeau Expected to Leave Before Dealing SG - Bleacher Report https://apple.news/AjDb5r2iKTIWkCtDX7yZT2g

BR report says if Thibs trades he’d look for veterans back. Not interested in young players for a rebuild. He’d only stick around to compete now. Otherwise he’s more likely to just leave himself. Take it FWIW....

One thing that's not brought to attention ever in these situations.
Jimmy says he will re-sign with the Clippers. He gives Jerry West his word, Clippers give up a lot of future potential in a trade, and Jimmy gets the hell out of Minnesota and lives in LA for the year. Say Kawhi ends up loving Toronto, Kyrie moves to NY, and I don't know, the Clippers just have a crappy atmosphere. Jimmy isn't going to stay just because he gave his word. If Knicks offer their full max, it'll come down to whether Jimmy is willing to give up some money and play with his boy in NY over being forgettable in LA. Jerry West probably knows this. They can't cry about how he promised because it's illegal to even have an agreement. The Clippers will be in the worst possible situation, and this ISN'T similar to the Chris Paul situation because we were adding Paul on top of Harden and we're making a title run. If CP3 bailed, yes we would have looked like fools but it was a part of going for it. Clippers know they're not going for it next year with just Jimmy, they'd be lucky to sniff the playoffs.
This thinking should make a package by the Clippers be less than what a team like Toronto or Houston offer.

EDIT: To add to this it's also why packages from teams with young stars like Philly and Boston shouldn't be too attractive either. They can probably beat a team like ours, but considering how young Embiid and Simmons are, a lottery pick or many more years of a solid role player like Saric to add on top of those guys sounds better than the possibility of Jimmy Butler for just one year.
The more I think about it the more likely it'll be offers from Houston, Toronto, New Orleans, Portland, Oklahoma City and Washington. Those teams would give up a good player or asset for possibly only a year of Jimmy Butler. I'd still say New York is still a possibility, which goes against the point I made, but I feel they're in better position than the Clippers because they're obviously holding onto Porzingis, and would probably only part with Ntikilina, not future picks or Knox.

Part of me hopes Butler is traded to OKC so we can see how Russ screws it up.. 1 season with OKC and Westbrook, Butler will be seen as useless and unplayable.
