This whole Ford issue is truly pathetic. 36 years ago, she can’t remember all the details, she may not even be willing to testify, Feinstein sat on the letter until the last second, etc. grasping for straws.

 

Senator Grassley was all for a FBI investigation of Anita Hill's allegations ...

 

Again . Hill was a federal employee who accused her federal employee boss of harrasment on federal property. That's a federal crime that gets investigated by the federal government. Ford is not suggesting a federal crime. Learn what federalism is. This doesnt even bring up the fact that there is nothing to investigate.


Kavanaugh has now given sworn testimony of his innocence. So has everyone else in Fords story. Just the accuser in hiding. Also the random lady on Facebook has not given testimony . In fact she's deleted her statements

 

The Democrats need to consider impeachment of Kavanaugh if they have the opportunity, or enlarging the court to add Garland.

 

Supreme Court justices can be impeached. Kavanaugh has given his statement on the issue under oath.

All this Ford lady has to do is go to the police and prove he's lying he goes to jail for up to 5 years. She is not willing to go under oath and give a statement.

 

Ford could file a defamation suit against Kavanaugh and drag his ass through discovery.

If under oath Kavanaugh walks back his statements against the alleged sexual assault, that would open the door for impeachment.

 

Statute of limitations be damned!

You are so completely hung up on criminal investigation, while the investigation here (as with Anita Hill) is part of a background check.

 

Once again, elections have consequences, we deserve all the Trump justices we get.

 

He gave sworn testimony on the issue this week. not sure how long you think the statute of limitations is, but I can promise if he is shown to have perjured himself in that interview then he will go to jail or at least be impeached. Same with all the other people in Ford's story who have sent written testimony to the senate judiciary committee.

It's just Ford who won't give sworn testimony. Also random Facebook lady who is in hiding won't go under oath either.

the FBI has no jurisdiction to investigate such a thing (unlike Anita Hill) which is what they've said. That's the whole point. Also, again, there is nothing to investigate.

 

He already lied under oath (wrt his clerkship). When does his prison sentence start?

Rewrite history much? Hill's allegations were 10 years old at the time. The POTUS ordered the FBI to investigate the matter.

 

There are five witnesses that will dispute what Kavanaugh testified to. When will these five people be brought before the confirmation hearing?

 

can you not read? Hill's claims were that the harassment took place on federal property between her (a federal employee) and another federal employee. That's a federal crime. That's why the FBI had jurisdiction. None of that applies to Ford's claims.

I shouldn't have to keep repeating this very very basic answer to you.

 

There isn't one news outlet claiming this perjury charge has merit, but if you want to hitch yourself to this wagon then go to town. Do you feel Garland is not impartial?

And here you have a window into the liberals' twisted strategy: If you can't get the votes, cook up a fake story without any evidence whatsoever -- such as Kavanaugh's high school bed romp or Russian collusion -- and try to go the impeachment route. Pathetic.
