Tal isn't dense. He is simply doing anything he can to protect his support of candidate trump and continuing defense of president trump. That is why he posts fellow trump defender spins and defections. I usually chuckle when I read them. At least he avoids personal attacks.

Not sure why Nunes is allowed in these meetings - he really shouldn't go unless he has his attorney present.

Well that would be because he's the chairman of the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence, really not that hard to understand.

... says the person who is finding this is hard to understand. Embrace your ignorance!

Yea, Nunes is as corrupt as they come.

Surprising he hasn't been kicked off the committee yet. Him being in that meeting is completely inappropriate.

Nunes is there to provide trump real-time reporting. Followed by his spin on what was discussed. He did such a good job on the last republican report...

So having the chairman of the congressional body that has oversight over the DOJ, FBI, and the DNI briefed by those organizations is a "mockery of our constitutional system"? LOL, I'm not sure that's how that works.

I think voter turnout will be relatively high for the midterms due in part to this investigation.

I think the general swampiness of the Trump admin will make voter turnout higher. One party does well when voter turnout is low and one party does well when voter turnout is high.

Because he's not elected by this country to that position? Because his head is up the ass of the president who's admin is being investigated?

Actually in a roundabout way, he is. The people elected representatives and those representatives appointed him to the position that makes it no different than if the people themselves appointed him to the position and if the people don't approve, they have a mechanism by which to remove him.

That said, until that happens, he does his job which is providing oversight over the DOJ and many other government agencies.

Not too concerned about the Dems not being invited to the party. I mean, I don't think it's good governance, but I don't think it's the silver bullet Trump is looking for. As I understand the informant story so far, it's a politically active professor who called up some important members of the Trump campaign to have 'casual' conversations about goals and strategies, and then ran back to the FBI and told them what he learned about them leveraging foreign sources of support. Trumpers will be very mad, I'm sure. But, I don't see why anyone who isn't already well-disposed toward Trump would really start to believe this counts as a spy in the campaign placed to gain political advantage. So Nunes will come out and say some stuff. Twitter will be aflitter. Some not-very-damning documents will leak. And everyone will continue to believe all the same crap they have been believing.
