Pena is in it. I was wondering the same thing regarding the timeline / possible fallout. It clearly deals with the aftermath of Civil War which I was curious / excited about as well, so I'd say it's highly likely they at least touch on it. Assuming Thanos wins at the end of Infinity War I'm not sure how people would really be able to adjust to normal life again, but I guess we'll see.
Evangeline Lilly in a superhero outfit. That's all the plot I need. Seriously, the first one was fun, and I'm glad they're giving her a "shot at the title", so to speak. I can assume the July release date indicates neither gets bumped off in "Infinity War".
From what I understand, the events of this movie precede the Avengers Infinity War (duh! for those of you who have seen it). Don't know if they'll be in the next Avengers film. I mean, hey, Hawkeye, man, where are you?
Infinity War spoiler below. Spoiler I hope he's dust along with everyone else. Troll the Hawkeye fanboys.
Hawkeye, Ant-Man, and Wasp are in Avengers 4. As for whether or not this happens before Infinity War or not; we don't know. It seems like it takes place either during or just before. It's obviously after Civil War.
I like how they've surrounded Infinity War with more 'light-hearted' movies (Thor, Ant-Man). Think this will be good, and most people will see it just to see how it fits in with Infinity War.
My halfassed guess...If they time it right for the big bucks, there'll be some segue for part 4 (some snippet about Stark) and prob a Hawkeye cameo.
Spoiler Seriously, major Infinity War spoiler inside Spoiler I wonder if one or both disappeared? That would actually be kind of amazing if, say, Ant Man disappeared and the Wasp shows up to help the Avengers in hopes of recovering him in Infinity War 2.
Spoiler I think it would make a bigger impact if they finally find Janet and just as the Wasp is about to take her out of the quantum realm, Janet disappears.
Spoiler: Theory: A lot of people are theorizing that it'll end like this due to the fact that the movie begins shortly after the events of Civil War: They go into the quantum realm to save said character everyone has been mentioning, which protects them from the effects of the Infinity Gauntlet, and when they come out they will see the after effects of the ending of Infinity War. They will likely lose people close to them like the father, maybe Michael Pena (Tragedy), and others. I believe this to be the likely end game with the movie as well... speaking of which, I think Avengers 4 will be called End Game.
Just got back from a 'Fan Event' double feature of 1 & 2. It was pretty good, cute, funny. The fights were good with the constant shrinking and growing. By no means the best Marvel movie but the bar is getting pretty high lately. No spoilers, it's worth a viewing in the cinema.
